Handy and capable scroll saw for the price. At the end of this review is an overview and demonstration video I made of the saw. This is a great tool for very fine cutting and curves. I am glad to have one so I can do work my jig saw was never good at such as making puzzles. The saw has a 16 inch throat depth for large pieces and takes standard 5 inch blades. It operates between 400 and 1600 strokes per minute which offers a lot of flexibility depending on what you are cutting. I find around 1100 SPM is a good speed, I get burns in the wood at 1600. The adjustable blade guard and blade tightener afford a nice clean cut on the saw; the saw can handle wood as thick as 2 inches. The saw has two flexible arms; one is an LED light, the other is a blower which keeps dust away from your line so you can see where you are cutting which is very handy. Replacing/removing the blade is easily done with an included hex wrench. A blade tensioner allows you to easily adjust the tension on the blade for various wood types. The table can bevel from 0 to 45 degrees. The saw has a cast iron base and weighs 24 lbs. It is able 24″ deep altogether, so it is long but can also be stored easily. The base has four holes for securing to your workbench, each with a rubber bushing. Quality issues: the blade guard was bent out of shape out of the box. It is a flexible metal so it was somewhat easy to repair. There was also a large scratch on the table out of the box. Despite these quality issues, I still give the saw 5 stars because of its price. This scroll saw is made in Vietnam.

my wife and I have just gotten into woodworking and did not want to invest a lot of money until we knew what we were doing. This saw does all that you could expect from this size and price range. It really is good and she is enjoying her projects very much.
