Build quality seems decent. Haven’t really used it but it appears well built and assembly was straightforward. Good value for the price.

Drill press works well; but the plastic shield is obtrusive.

Worth the price? Absolutely! The chuck had some rough spots in it and needed to be cleaned out from the machining process and 7/64 is about the smallest bit it will hold. I did stop the motor using a 1-1/8 forstner bit drilling through 3/4 oak but it’s handled everything else with no problems. The light could be brighter but overall, I really like the drill press.

Easy to assemble. Very happy with the purchase!

Arrived earlier to my home than promised by days and no damage. Easy to assemble. The laser lights are hit and miss to aim. Very little to no run out on the spindle. But the jaws on the chuck won’t close enough for holding bits smaller than 7/64″. No plastic anywhere except for the switch buttons. So far works like a charm. Now I need to find a good drill press vise and make a wood fence.

So far, so good. I have not had this drill press for long, but after constructing it (mostly straight forward, but instructions need more details), it seems sturdy and well built. Very little wobble, smooth feed lever, easy to use table, and laser is accurate. Power seems adequate, but my only issue so far is adjusting the belts. Some configuration for belt tension does not seem possible but I have not had much time to mess with it to know if it is user error or poor product design. Will update my review once I have time to mess with the belt tensions. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Picked up drill press at store and carton looked like it had been in a tornado. Was assured if something was wrong they would make it right. It had been re-taped, so loaded up and carried home. Drill press was fine except for the plastic chuck guard, which was cracked in 4 different places and useless, and a dent on the motor starter cover of the motor. I did not contact anyone for replacement of the chuck guard at Home Depot or the drill press manufacturer. Drill press appears to work just fine.

This drill exceeded my expectations smooth handling no vibration, very easy to assemble. Was concerned from other reviews about the box condition but to my surprise when I went to pickup the box at the store it was in perfect condition, definitely will recommend the 13in General International drill press to everyone.

This is the second tier of general intl made products and it is a great machine so far. We are not using it daily, but very pleased with performance for our needs. Priced great, shipped to home, no problems with delivery. Glad we went with this one.

the unit performs as expected and more, if your trying to save a buck and you don’t need to be super precise in your cuts then this is the machine for you. it works great! my only wish is that the chuck and shaft would spin true so i could get a more precise cut without is oscillating.

The drill press is very good for me. Assembly is easy. Working is very well. The instructions or specification should show the chuck part number and size.

This is a very well built drill press! It has a nice motor and plenty of power. The problem with this Drill press is the Manuel. You should simply throw it away when you get the box open. The directions to assemble the press are very poor. Once I finally got it assembled it worked nice. But, I would havepurchased a different drill press If I could do it agian. Their are simply too many other Drill presses that have good manuel and are not so hard to assemble.

I just put this together and tested it and it is very good. For $259, it is an excellent value, especially when compared to others at this or $300 price. This has a laser aim point that is accurate and the led light adds some light to the area. The unit runs smoothly and has a good chuck. This replaced a bench top model that did not have an adequate table and worse, did not easily adjust. This does. You’d have to drop about $500 to get any measuarable improvement so this is an excellent buy.
