If you are one who does professional grade furniture, crown molding, or stuff to earn a living then this saw is not what your looking for. However, if you want excellent results for DIY projects your in the right class. I use this saw for everything I can think of. Plastic pipe, HDPE plastic sheets, Aluminum channel, simple 2×4 work benches, etc. It is not permanently attached to a bench with dust extraction. I bolt it to a six foot plastic table and an old piece of OSB floor decking and set it outside. This saw has every feature I need to adjust my cuts for smooth, square, straight, and accurate dimensions. The saw folds down nicely for portability and shelf storage. It’s tough. IF you are attaching a length stop to the fence you need to drill your own holes to screw in the guide board. The included blade is good for a while. It cuts plastic and aluminum all day long. We all know that for better cuts one needs a better blade. The good thing is that the saw is rigid enough to support a better blade. It comes with a battery operated laser guide. You won’t like it if you keep forgetting to turn it off. I’m thinking most of us backyard DIY people won’t use it much anyway. The saw has plenty of power to cut at the extremes of it’s cut range. The saw can be adjusted and hard locked for smooth, accurate crown molding angle cuts. We all know there are better saws for stuff like that but this saw will suprise you with it’s repeatable accuracy. Throw it into your truck and haul it to the dock. It’s perfect for that kind of stuff. You’ll really like the price and fast delivery.

I’m enjoying how to use this saw. I especially like the laser to help line things up. Would be good to have the quick clamp to lock materials down, instead of the screw plate.

It isn’t a terrible saw bit not really great either. On the one I had, the fence wasn’t square to the base. Squaring it to the saw blade was fine but it did not hold at a 90 degree angle to the base of the saw and that isn’t adjustable. Not that it matters much but I’m almost positive this is the same saw that harbor freight sells under the chicago electric branding just with a laser added (which was fairly accurate). I ended up returning it due to the flaws however if you’re in the market for a budget miter it’s worth a look

The saw works great the only concern I have is that it doesn’t have a safety for the switch. Someone can just start it prematurely.

This saw did an outstanding job for me. I bought a ton of wood (common board and polished) for some furniture I built and had to make all sorts of cuts and this saw simply worked great. The laser guide was helpful too. No complaints here other than the dust bag kinda lacks a little.Keep in mind this is a budget-friendly saw so you won’t have all the glamour you get with a contractor-grade saw.

I decided to wait until spring to finish my deck. There will be more lumber available, more reasonably priced, end i will have more time.

Set up this saw today and used it for the first time. The slide feature is a real plus as it allows you to cut wide boards. The 15 amp motor is powerful and blade cuts through seasoned lumber easily. The board clamp allows you to cut longer boards without assistance. The dust collector bag is the only shortcoming it is flimsy and can get caught or interfere with the slide rails. All in all this it is a much better saw than the Delta miter saw it replaced. The old saw’s blade guard was broken and the power switch was going out. Replacement parts were not available so it was time to replace it. The saw appears to be well made and it is lightweight at only 29 pounds.I’m looking forward to using it, hopefully, for a long time.

Great tool beyond my expectation

Required virtually no assembly and was lighter in weight than expected. The light weight made it easy to remove from it’s box and placed on the work bench, especially since I have a bad back. If I had to purchase another sliding miter saw it would be a General International saw.

I was looking for a good 10″ Compound Miter Sliding saw when I ran across this one on another website. I was familiar with the brand name from using their professional products in a shop I worked in before years ago. There were no reviews listed anywhere but I was okay with that, Home Depot had the best price but didn’t carry it in the local stores but I didn’t mind waiting so I ordered it anyway and waited. Like most power tools the instruction are minimal you either know how to assemble it or you don’t! The build quality I felt was solid. The dust collection bag worthless. The saw is well balanced and the cuts were smooth. I changed out the 24T blade for a 40T for the second part of the project and the saw did what was expected. I was chopping 2 x10’s and 4×4’s for the most part. I still have a lot more to do but I wanted make a post so that others could see that this is a good saw and the value for what I paid is excellent!
