These are handy punches for softer materials. Do not expect them to punch through harder or thicker materials but for thin woods, veneer, and plastics they do the trick. I use them for cutting small round discs for hobby projects in thin polystyrene plastics and wood.

These are exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised how hard it was to find them. The original search started by looking for ways to make colored dots for the grandkids craft projects. Lady bugs have to have spots. Should last for years in my shop, well made and look pretty indestructible

These punches are sturdy and the steel is strong. I’ve used them on leather and nylon webbing so far with a block of pine underneath for support. Clean holes in the leather but you have to repeat several times with the nylon. The punch ends did not roll inward at all. Must be high carbon steel. Surprised and satisfied.

This punch set works very well for its described purpose. It is for making round holes in softer materials like gasket paper, cardboard or even thin stacks of paper or plastic sheets. But I would not recommend using it on sheet metal or even steel shim stock.
