This 3 piece countersink bit set is ideal for the consummate woodworker that demands precise cutting tools. I have been working with wood for well over 30 years and believe me, not all countersinks are created equal. I enjoy the fact that these tools are quality made and deliver quality results time after time.Keep them clean and handy, because you will use them a lot!

These countersinks chatter significantly in plywood. Not the clean cuts I had hoped for.

This General Tools countersink 3-piece set is an excellent THD value. It includes the three most commonly used sizes; 1/2″, 5/8″ and 3/4″. The high speed steel construction keeps them sharp and should last a long time. While they work great on wood, they are also specified for use on steel, brass, aluminum, plastic, and other materials. The 5-flute rose-pattern design allows for self-centering and minimal chatter. This is a great value for a set of three.

They make clean cuts on the wood, perfect to hide screw heads.

Wasn’t sure which size I needed, this worked, also didn’t realize how wore out the old bit was!

Sharp and sturdy with no chipping. Have used them in drill press and hand drill, high and low speeds, hard and soft materials. Always good results.

Good set for the price. I think you get exactly what you pay for. I’d like to see a simple sleeve or a case included with this set even if it meant a marginal price increase. It would keep them from rolling around the drawer of a tool chest or something.Overall, I’m very happy with the set. No complaints.

I bought these to countersink flathead machine screws into metal drawer sliders. I first tried one from HF with miserable results, it barely did one countersink before it dulled. This one from General did ten countersinks with no sign of wear. It’s a winner and I strongly recommend it.

Good set of countersink bits to have in the just the right sizing in my opinion. Cuts have been smooth and easy. I’ve got these mounted by my drill press and they’ll get used quite a bit. I do wish they came with a small carry pouch or case. I know that’s picky, but I’d like to get a second set for my tool bag. I know it keeps costs down but that’d just be icing on the cake. Overall, great set.

THIS SET MAKES MY COLLECTION OF COUNTERSINKS COMPLETE, I HAVE ALL THE SMALLER DIAMETERS ALREADY. I FOUND A LITTLE CHATTER IN COUNTER SINKING WOOD JUST LIKE MY OLD COUNTER SINKS DO. HOWEVER I FOUND NO CHATTER WHILE USING IT ON METAL. IT’S EASY TO SEE THAT THESE COUNTERSINKS ARE MADE OF A HIGH SPEED STEEL, WHICH MEANS I WILL BE GETTING A LOT OF USE OUT OF THESE.

These are pretty well made. The size of the bit is the actual size marked on the tool. These are labeled General Tool NY New York but the are made in china.Good up to 2000 rpm.Wood, Plastic, and Metal.1/4″ shank. Drill only, no quick chuck.5 blades. Many have 4 causing more vibration and jumping. These are probably best used in a drill press.
