These are FAR better and easier to use than the old ones I had. Cheap countersinks have just one cutting flute. That makes the tool hard to control and leads to gnarly results. These have multiple flutes so the cutting action is symmetrical and smooth. Light pressure and a steady hand are all it takes. In a drill press they work perfectly every time! Don’t bother with the wood chewing cheepo models. Get these and get it right the first time every time. That’s always cheaper in the long run and FAR less frustrating.

Worked well, did not leave a perfectly round countersink, more of a star shape. Maybe that is normal for this type of countersink bit as I haven’t used them before.
