The drill was easy to operate, but the switch does not stay on (it is a momentary switch).

The General Tools LED Power Screwdriver is a handy item for working on electronics with small Philips-head, or Star screws. The package includes additional bits and two AAA batteries. The screwdriver also includes an LED light that illuminates the work area when the switch is activated. The yellow switch is a dual switch, in that pushing forward tightens screws, pulling back loosens them. The tool seems to have good torque, but not a high RPM. However, when working on sensitive electronics, computers, etc, you may now want to have a high-speed screwdriver than can strip threads or screw heads. So, this tool may be appropriate for that type of work.

The thing I like best about this screwdriver is the LED light. It helps to focus on the area that you are working on. I frequently need to tighten the screws on my glasses, so this feature really comes in handy. The other nice thing is that this screwdriver comes with an assortment of tips to suit a number of different applications. They won’t work where large tips are required, but for projects with small screws, etc., it is perfect. Fits nicely in the hands. A “must have” for anyone who wants a better view of what they are working on while using the screwdriver.

I love this tool, this will be the third one I have purchased. Ok, why 4 stars well only because of the plastic internal parts. Do not, i repeat do not force this little guy to do more than it can, you will strip the plastic gear. I being impatient have stripped two of them. I am leaving the next one alone for toys only!!! this is a vey handy tool for lots of electronic toys!

Great tool just need a case that can hold the screwdriver and bits together

only 4 stars because i would like a long, magnetic bit holder.

Slim, Functional, Useful. Using the General Tools 10 inch LED lighted Power Precision Screwdriver in some tight places I was able to concentrate on keeping attention on the work subject and less on movements needed to turn the screw. The LED focus directly on where the bit meets the targeted head and enough torque is given for screws relevant to the size of the bit. I would only like to have had the locking of the bit head when not actuating the screwdriver and torque is greatly dependent on the strength of the batteries.

Solid Battery-Operated Drill. This is a handy tool to grab for light screwdriver jobs. It’s extremely easy to operate and it’s definitely great on the wrists – no turning, just press the button and the screwdriver handles most simple jobs really well. I especially like the built-in light – it’s bright and precise. The screwdriver comes with a variety of bits that are easily changeable. Keep in mind that this screwdriver runs on two AAA batteries, so you’re not going to get the power of a larger tool, but you’ll certainly be able to grab it and take care of smaller jobs. Super simple to use (like holding a large pen) and takes up very little space. A nice addition to my toolbox.

I use this for long small hobby screws etc. Does a fine job but not a lot of torque available. Thats ok for my use. Very pleased with it.

The drill driver came with the perfect bits and batteries as well. It’s perfect for small to medium electronic jobs and perfect for model and radio control type projects. The motor is powerful for almost any stubborn removal tasks. It appears well made and is made in China. My biggest issue with that manufacturing source is not the design or functions but the quality and strength of the metals used In almost all of their fasteners such as screws, bolts and things such as Phillip’s head inserts. Most will fatigue and deform with continued heavy forces applied.

This is a great screwdriver for electronics and other small projects. It does feel cheaply made and thats why its 4 starts instead of 5 because its a good product not a great one but for the price I cant argue with it. The one thing I would really like to have changed about this is its not magnetic. I have a few other precision screw driver sets and they either have a magnet in the screw driver or a little block that will let you magnetize your bits. I would defiantly pay a little more to have that feature as I’ve dropped quite a few screws with this screwdriver that were it magnetized they would have stuck to it.

The General Tools Lighted Precision Screwdriver is a niche tool that works great for tiny screws on electronics, computer components, or other small devices. The tool works great when used as it was intended. The speed is not very fast, but again it was designed for the small screws that are typically found in small devices such as smartphones, watches, laptop computers or other miniature electronic devices. The screwdriver was not designed for building or dismantling desktop computers. The screwdriver is locked when the “slide switch” is in the normal or neutral position, so the tool functions as a manual screwdriver. Use this mode to “break free” tightened screws, or to do final tightening of screws; however, use this feature with caution since this is a PRECISION screwdriver. It was not designed for the normal sized screws nor for heavy duty tightening and fastening. I would recommend LOOSENING all screws by hand before using this tool to extend the life of this tool. The screwdriver comes with six popular bits: Phillips #0 and #1; Slotted 1/8 and 1/16 in.; and Torx T5 and T6. The tips are the same size as other interchangeable “mini screw drive tips” that I have from a previous tool that I purchased. This means that many styles of screws can be driven via interchangeable driver tips.It runs on two standard “AAA” cells which are included. This is the tool to use when you can NOT use your power tools on sensitive and fragile electronics or computer components.

Screwdriver set arrived and includes two AAA batteries. The packaged screwdriver includes six bits. The screwdriver itself is of decent quality, it’s not high quality. This will hold up for small jobs. The package does state to use for small computer components and tight spaces. I used this set to install a thermostat bracket in a deep freezer and also used the screwdriver to tighten some outlet cover screws. Anything other then these type of jobs, I feel won’t be useful. There isn’t enough torque to tighten a screw tightly or enough to loosen a tight screw. The screw will be snug at best. The bright LED light is a plus. I initially had an issue with the screwdriver not working after installing the batteries. I had to hold the down bottom for about five second to get the screwdriver going. I’m not sure if this is a common problem, but passing this along if any other customer has the same issue. I’ve included several pictures for your review. I recommend this product for purchase if you are a tech looking for a battery operated screwdriver to perform very small jobs for use on computers, cell phones, etc.
