Love these tweezers. They are long, so they’re easy to find in your tool drawer. Great bonus is the built in light feature making it simple to identify what you are trying to pick up. They have these comfort grips on the side, too. So many features for a simple tool that everyone has a need for every now and then but wished they had. Now I have this convenient tool forever in my tool box. I do hope the light battery lasts very long so I don’t have to change it, looks challenging but there are directions.

The general lighted tweezers is a 6.5”-long tweezers with an LED light screwed into its base. The light is 1.75 inches in length. It comes in a “theft-proof: package suitable for hanging in the cash register line and needs a stalwart pair of scissors (or a dremel tool) to open. The LED operates from three small disc batteries (LR-41) and is designed to illuminate whatever the tweezers can grasp. It is connected at its base by a knurled slotted screw which was a thoughtful design touch, especially if it has been tightened too snugly. The light is described as being “powerful”, but “adequate” would be a better adjective. When it arrived, the light was very dim until the batteries in the battery compartment was turned. Taking out the batteries and checking the interior showed nothing to block current flow, but when the batteries were re-installed, the light didn’t work until the cap was loosened a bit.In use, the tweezers are not particularly precise, and the tips won’t quite match up if your fingers push obliquely, rather than directly together. It’s suitable to grab medium-small screws from a box of loose hardware. If you have jobs that require you to pick up objects the size of BB’s, this would be useful. The light is somewhat useful, but doesn’t bring the value up to the cost of the tweezers. Limited Use and high cost push this out of a “good buy” category.

The General Tools Brand, Bent Tip Lighted Tweezers have really good, strong, well aligned tips. I have not yet had opportunity to pull a sliver, yet I think they may very well be the best tweezers I have used. My wife can use them for her beading hobby and I can use them for my numerous DIY projects and repairs needing fine manipulation. Button cell batteries and LED lights have made this technology practical and at my age, I need all the light I can get to see what I am doing. My wife and I have agreed we will keep these tweezers in our scissors drawer where we can both use them. And with Christmas nearing, I think these tweezers would make a great stocking stuffer for the person who has everything or just staring out.

Works great and I actually didn’t know it had a led light, that really helps.me.

The single LED located in the handle of the tweezers casts adequate light between the tips and isn’t fully blocked by the tool when closed. The light is best for reaching into a narrow crevice where you may not be able to shine light from behind your hand. Make sure to remove the plastic block from around the light power button or you won’t be able to operate it easily. The angle of the tips allows for more versatile use than straight tips and the grabbing surface is textured to increase grip. The metal is strong and doesn’t bend to medium force. The tips are reasonably aligned and allow picking up of small to medium hardware. Tiny slivers may be difficult as there are not fine points to give a small surface area. All in all, a good buy.

These are great! I was a little skeptical that these would provide enough light, I was wrong. Who ever invented these did a great service. I have a hard time using tweezers to pull out splinters, pick up small things I’ve dropped or for sewing. I wear glasses, but with age it gets harder to see things. I was so happy to see that the light these tweezers provide is sufficient to be able to complete the task. Add to that, they have non-slip comfort grips and a serrated bent tip which give a good secure hold on what your pulling.

These tweezers are larger sized and provides a strong grip for the smaller objects. The light feature is a big help when working with smaller objects and intricate parts. I do a lot of inlay pen turning and these work very well for this application. I often use these in combination with a magnifying glass as my eyes are not as young as they used to be but overall they are a very useful addition to the toolbox

Excellent idea, falls a bit short on the execution. When I saw these I thought, yes!, this is what I’ve needed for so long. These are a set of tweezers with a bullet LED light in between them. The light is pointed down slightly so it doesn’t cast shadows, and has a small on-off button on top.Where the execution fails is that it requires three small button batteries (included). When I opened mine, it was a bit wonky with the light turning on/off and even staying on once it turned on. The bullet light is not easy to disassemble for when you’ll need to change batteries, and it’s even more difficult to put back together.I think the issue with my pair was just that the batteries weren’t making great contact, but it may be a quality control issue. When the light is on these work great.

I do a lot of small, detailed arts and crafts type work and sometimes need to handle small pieces late at night when my eyes are super tired. These tweezers are perfect for my needs. They can add light directly on the area I’m trying to pick up, hold, remove or whatever the purpose is at that time. They have a nice serrated blade, so they grip small objects and hold them in place well. The tweezers are a good length that is easy to manage and still useful. Highly recommend these for detail work! Sorry the closeup photo is blurry!

General Tools 6 1/4” Bent Tip LED Lighted TweezersInitially I couldn’t get the LED light to stay on, it kept going off and on. After removing the 3 disc batteries wiping them off and re assembling it worked fine. (A little difficult getting those 3 batteries aligned properly and into the tube) These over 6” tweezers aren’t for removing splinters. They are just not made for that delicate a purpose. What they are handy for is anytime you have need to pick up something small like tiny screws, electronic parts or hobbies like crafting beads etc. These will work great for that. The tips have little plastic protective sleeves which I found come in handy. I like to leave them on for picking up parts that are more difficult to get a hold of. The LED light can be adjusted a tiny bit to aim it properly towards the tweezer tips.

This lighted tweezer is a handy item to have in your toolbox! Right out of the packaging, I could not get the LED light to work, so I took apart the light (see pictures), and tested the three LR41 button batteries (see picture). It turned out the tops and bottoms of the batteries had oxidized so once I cleaned them up, I had a working LED light. It was nice and bright (see picture). So, if yours does not work initially, try cleaning the batteries. The tip of the tweezers is pointed and the last inch of the tip is serrated so it will give a good grip. It has a non-slip grip area (see picture) which is easy to hold. Despite the initial problem with the batteries, I still highly recommend this lighted tweezer as one useful tool to have around.
