This handy set makes it easy to put a lot of torque on screwdriver heads or hex heads. It comes with two flat head and two Phillip’s head screw drivers as well as 11 hex head drivers and an adapter for attaching a ¼” socket. It also includes a nut driver handle as well as the ratchet and extension. This would be a good set to have available if you are going to be working on something requiring a hex head wrenches. Everything retains the screw heads as well as can be expected which is nice so that they don’t fall out when working with them. This is much more convenient set than using the actual hex wrenches because this ratchets and can get into most spots a hex wrench can. The sizes of the hex heads are standard from .05 to ¼”. Made in China.

General Tools Ratchet Offset Screwdriver Set (19-Piece)The ratchet handle component in the General Tools Screwdriver set has become my go to driver for loosening tight old screws in antique furniture and inside cabinetry. The ratchet gives me the extra screw turning leverage for both disassembly or assembly (see photo); while the hollow ground shape of the flat blade screwdriver tips (see photo) is a much better fit in old screw slots than your run of the mill tapered slotted screwdrivers most of us have. And both a PH1 and PH2 size cross-head tip are also in the kit.The kit’s hex bits make for a more user friendly “L” hex wrench alternative when fitted to the kit handle (see photo). There are 11 hex bits from .05” to ¼’. Also included is a quarter-inch drive socket adapter that I use frequently with my quarter-inch socket set (see photo). So the end result of maximizing the General Tools set is much smaller volume kit than a tool box full of stand-alone tools.

This is a very neat little tool to have an off set screwdriver set that comes with many different size hex head sizes as well as two flat head screwdriver bits and two phillips head and two flat head blades for tightening and loosening screws and hex heads. It comes with a very sturdy hard material case for easy storing when you get finished using it .

I ordered this set because we didn’t own one, even though I wasn’t entirely sure if we needed it. Exactly one week later, my husband and I went on a mission trip and used it! We were digging post holes and broke the post hole digger (and we were in the middle of nowhere). We pulled out our offset ratchet screwdriver set and repaired the digger by disassembling it, removing the broken part, and reattaching it. I’m so happy we packed it! Now I can imagine using it for other chores, where space is tight, we need different sizes of screwdrivers, or the screws are old and rusted. The whole set is packed into a small box, too, so everything is easy to find when you need it.

Ratchet Offset Screwdriver Set (19 Piece) by General Tools This is a great set. I like it because it’s smaller pieces that can in tight areas when a larger tool can’t. These tools give you more lever, which makes it a breeze when installing screws, and has the offset head for odd angle access. This set includes # 1 and # 2 cross-point bits, 1/4” – 3/8” straight bits. 4 Hex bits in sizes 0.050” – 1/16” – 5/64” – 3/32” – 7/64” – 1//8” – 9/64” – 5/32” – 3/16” – 7/32” and ¼” This set includes a reversible ratchet handle, a 3-3/4” long extension shaft, and a 1/4” square drive adapter, a screwdriver handle, 15 bits, and a plastic molded storage case. This is such a convenient set to carry anywhere. It’s small, but will handle multiple tasks for you. It is also very well made. The dimensions are as follows: .25” maximum drive size, .05” minimum drive size, a maximum tip size variety pack, 1.5” product depth, 11.4” product width. I would definitely recommend this Ratchet Off-Set Screwdriver Set by General Tools to everyone, especially if you’re like me “a DIYer.” Most of the time it’s by choice that I DYI, but sometimes it’s not. I do like having assorted tools on hand that are easy for me to use and are heavy duty and long lasting. This is the perfect set and won’t cause a clutter for sure because it is so compact with a nice storage case. Great buy and great price.

Sometimes your only choice is an offset screwdriver. Things get in front of things and then you’re faced with a screw to remove and no room to get a screwdriver in front of it. Then you go for the offset. This is an offset screwdriver with interchangeable bits that insert in the ratcheting handle. It’s all put in this nice box to keep it all together and in one place. It could be used on a stubborn screw that won’t move with a regular screwdriver to get more torque.I had an opportunity to use this soon after I got it. I was removing a hose clamp that was high up under a kitchen sink. I looked up and I hoped the guy who put it in left it with the screw facing out. Looked up and there it was, facing the wall. “Oh, Boy! Now I get to use that offset screwdriver set from Home Depot!”. It made short work of it. This set comes with 2 sizes of flat tip and 2 sizes of phillips head inserts. There is a set of SAE allen head drivers as well as an adapter to use with 1/4 inch sockets.Another use I have seen for this tool is tracking conveyor belts and tightening screw take-ups on tensioners when its inside a machine and inaccessible to drilldrivers and full size screwdrivers.I think most of us have an array of other bits or inserts we could use with this useful driver.

Great functionality but disappointing quality. General Tools “Ratchet Offset Screwdriver Set (19-Piece)” packs a lot of functionality in a small set. With 15 bits (4 screwdriver and 11 hex) and a ¼” socket adapter it covers a wide range of “driver” situations. It includes a screwdriver-style handle with an extension for easy use. (see pics). The case holds all the parts in place and snaps closed securely. But it’s the horizontal ratchet handle that really sets this kit apart. It provides far more leverage than a driver handle possibly could, and reverses direction via a simple slide-switch under your thumb. And nothing beats it for tight spaces: when something is blocking straight-on access to a fastener this is probably the only way to reach it. It fits in a space just over an inch high (see pic) Too bad the quality is only “OK”. The ratchet handle is hollow. The bits don’t fit the socket consistently (some very tight, others loose). The plastic driver handle feels cheap. The ratchet mechanism is notchy. But worst is the selector switch (see pic) – It doesn’t always engage when you slide it from side to side (to change the ratchet direction). As a result the ratchet head spins freely. Sure, all you have to do is push it a bit harder, but it feels like the mechanism is weak and might fail with extended use. Still, it’s effective for light duty use in small spaces.Model # 8078

This 19 piece, Ratchet Offset Screwdriver Set by General Tools, is small, but conveniently arranged in a plastic case. It is easy to carry around and is perfect for small household jobs. The quality is okay for limited use. I don’t think it would endure heavy use, but as I said for around the house it makes jobs easier to complete. The Hex wrench heads range in size, from .05, 1/16 to 1/4. The extender makes it easier to reach the farther locations, than a traditional Allen Wrench. There are also two flathead screwdriver heads and two Phillips.

This is a nice little set for someone like me who assembles a lot of furniture that seems to have limited accessibility. When i have to put together a wood chair the hardware under the seat is difficult so i love that i can start off with this screwdriver then then switch it out if i need to with the ratchet handle when my hand starts getting tired. Also its a nice touch that the screwdriver handle is magnetized. It comes in a great hardshell snap-close case. im used to seeing the bigger type ratchet set but this will be a tool i shall use often -wont have to carry around my large toolbox..

This General Tools 19-piece set of ratchet screwdrivers is just I have been looking for! I once had a similar one-piece offset driver with a permanent philips bit on one side and a straight bit on the other. I have used it so many times, but I misplaced it. I am so pleased to have this set with so many more options. This set is much better because it has 16 different bits in various sizes that are easy to slip into either the 3-1/2″ regular screwdriver handle or the 4″ spinner, reversible ratchet handle. This little nickel-plated ratchet driver is so handy to get into tight spots, and it is so easy to reverse direction with the lever right within my thumb’s reach without moving the driver. There is also a 3-1/4″ extension shaft which fits both handles.I like the hard, molded storage case that measures about 4.25″ x 6.25″ x 2.5″ with an easy-to-open or close snap closure. I also appreciate having the sizes of the bits marked inside. Now this set won’t be as easy to lose.
