I Have only used this product on 1 project so far, but it was easy to realize the difficulty in performing the same task without the assistance from this jig. It appears to be very easy to use in every wood working project I would attempt by myself. Only one thing to say is one of the holes for the bit was binding and would not allow the bit to turn freely on a dry run (not under power) . So I saw that the hole had a piece of metal extending out that stopped the bit from easily turning. So before the bit was damaged I removed the top hole guide and took a round file and removed the excess metal, then re-inserted the top guide, inserted the bit to test for easy rotation. All good. I believe this happens from time to time in the manufacturing process of the pocket hole drilling devise. No more issues. For the price and design it is still very much worth the price I paid.

An economy version of the original name brand. If you’re not going to do a lot of pocket hole joinery this is a good choice – otherwise step up to the more refined product (also available at HD.)

I always wanted a pocket hole jig. I did one construction project with it and was very pleased. But the second time I used it the bit got caught in the jig, and nearly took my arm off when it broke apart. After reading the other reviews, I realized my jig most likely got clogged with metal shavings. I always followed the directions: I always held the drill in the right orientation, and started off each hole slowly to make sure it was properly aligned. I always followed the directions and moved the drill up and down to allow the shavings to exit the jig. In hindsight I think the construction of this product is not adequate for my needs (more than 1 project!) I am going back to buy another brand of the same thing.

Used product to drill pocket holes to build bedside table, and product performed perfectly. Expect a little bit of metal shavings from the first couple drills, because the drill bit has to be trimmed down by the jig
