By far the easiest dovetail jig to use. Works well on a router table or as bench mounted.

Even though I have never even attempted to make a dovetail joint or a box joint before, the first time I used this jig it came out perfect! The joint was so tight that it almost did not need any glue. As you will read in other reviews, the jig does flex some as you tighten the clamps on the board, but this does not seem to make any difference to the joint. I have made several drawers using this jig over the last 2 weeks and they have all come out great. I am very pleased with it & would reccomend it without hesitation.

The threads on the hold down screws are very loose they were not machined properly I know they will will eventually strip out. The flimsy bars that hold the wood in place are very thin. Save yourself a few bucks and buy the older version there is very little difference between the two. It would be nice if they specified the exact finger details and placed a centering mark on the middle fingers so you could end up with half pins on both ends. You get what you pay for if all you want is to make a few boxes this is OK but it is not a quality jig.

Really great product for DIY wood workers. The price, quality, and ease of use out of the box were outstanding.

I just recieved this dove tail jig in mail. I bought the dowel maker jig and it worked so good. I had a ——— dove tail jig but it was hard to figure out or I was doing something wrong. Also the EZ Pro will work with a table type router which is just great!!

The instructions could be better, but I watched a couple of youtube demonstrations to get the hang of it. The product appears to be well built, and the joint look great. However, my first box came out slightly twisted, so I think it will take some experience before I can get the pieces perfectly aligned.

to be fair this is a well made jig as for craftsmanship, but it is very hard to set up and use. Also, it comes with a dovetail bit but also requires a straight bit that was not included. I am new to using a jig so part of the poor performance is mine but I am trying.

It was a gift for my son, but he just told me yesterday how much he liked it and how easy it was to use.

I’ve been a carpenter my whole life. I have never needed a dovetail jig. I bought this knowing it was an entry level jig. I’ve used it to make box joints for bee hives. It works fine for that. I surely wouldn’t use it to make fine furniture or cabinets though.

Great tool, just getting into woodworking and used it to build some custom drawers. Easy to use and made very short work of the project once I got the hang of it.

There were five videos for this tool. Two had no sound and were useless. Please fix these videos!

I did eight drawers so far with this jig. I would give it five stars if it was made out of cast-iron instead of aluminum. The reason is that when you’re clamping down making the tails the jig actually Flexes, So that your cut across is not square and it throws the dovetail off. I used some clamps to keep it square and it worked just fine but if the jig was stiffer such as made out of cast-iron it would be perfect.

HARD TO LINE UP BOTH BOARDS. THE END TAIL BREAKS OUT EVEN WITH BACK BOARD.

Works as advertised, Easy learning curve. Needs extra bit for full box joints. Comes with bit for half blind joints. Customer of HD for many years. Good products and prices.

I was trying to figure out how to do dovetails, then I got this jig and it is a snap. Once I get it set up for the wood I’m using, I can crank out dovetails.

Bit height is very important when using this jig. It works well.

This is a great little jig for small projects. Not for heavy use. Excellent value. Easy to use. Although it is capable of doing wide boards, seems to work best with narrow stock. I’m very satisfied.
