General Tools LED Lighted 24 in. Telescoping Rectangular Inspection MirrorI have exterior French doors that need a new bottom seal. This LED inspection mirror worked perfectly so that I could see under the door without having to remove it from its hinges. Saved me a ton of work because while using this mirror light I realized there are no screws holding the seal on and the seal can be replaced without removing the door first! I am also using it to see into my gutters and this is perfect when working under the hood of your car. Extends to 24” and collapses to fit in a tool box, pocket or drawer. Flexible head lets you position it where you need to be. Very handy tool, everybody should have one. One major flaw on the product packaging. I will reiterate what another reviewer already mentioned, if you follow the big diagram included with the instructions when installing the batteries the light won’t work. You must follow the “+ and –“ battery orientation (One up one down) embossed on the back of the unit where you put the batteries. Ignore the instruction photo.

This tool should be in everybody’s tool box. It is so handy for many reasons like getting into small areas where a mirror is needed, having a light on it and that telescoping feature is fantastic. This tool was perfect for accessing a wall outlet behind my refrigerator. The light and telescoping neck both aided in an easy find. One thing I noticed is that the battery installation picture is incorrect. It shows them both positive up and we know one should be positive while other should be negative. Took a few minutes to get it right but once in it’s a very bright white light. I do wish that it had a mirror cover for storage to protect it from breakage or touching other tools. I’ll have to create a cover. Glad to have this much needed tool!

This is a tool every person can use to look into those hard to get at places in the home, in the garage working on cars or any job where there are hard to see places. The only thing must remember when looking at a mirror is that all views will show the item backwards than it actually is. A feature that makes this mirror especially desirable is the bright LED lights on the mirror. I would highly recommend this item.

This lighted telescoping inspection mirror is perfect for seeing those hard to reach places behind equipment (see picture), in your engine compartment, or any other place that does not have enough light to figure things out! I found the three-inch flexible neck combined with the overall two-foot extendable length to be just right to sneak the lighted mirror any place I needed to put it. It collapses to about nine inches. I do have one caution when installing the CR2032 button batteries (a common button battery that is easy to replace in the future). Note that the batteries are in series rather than in parallel inside the case so watch the positive and negative markings in the base circle indentations for the batteries: one battery faces up and the other faces down (see pictures). The LED light is nice and bright (see picture). The handle of the light has a handy pocket clip so you can take it in a shirt pocket without fear of it falling and breaking (see picture). This is really a tool to keep handy for hard to reach places. I highly recommend it!

Despite some weird design things this is a very handy tool. It has a nice telescoping feature with a flexible end. The first thing is the pocket clip. It’s too large to really be carried around in a pocket. The second thing is the lights are virtually useless. The lights shine directly in front of the mirror but it you are trying to look around a 90 degree corner the light hit the corner and don’t shine in the direction you want to look.

This is a great addition to the toolbox. Everybody has experienced the need for an inspection mirror, to see in a difficult spot, to find a lost fastener etc. General tools adds led light to a tool box standard. This is a mix of some quality and cheap materials. The handle, extension and gooseneck all seem like good quality materials. The mirror is good quality, about 2 x 3 and not wavy. The lights give off enough light to illuminate something close. The mirror and batteries are housed in plastic and attached to the goosneck by plastic, and the switch is a plastic slider. It’ all of the “plasticy” parts that give a cheap vibe. My concern is whether the plastic connection is sturdy enough to survive in the toolbox, only time will tell.

I’ve installed three dishwashers in the past two weeks, and this telescoping inspection mirror has been an invaluable tool for locating wires and hoses and – most importantly – for finding screws that I dropped under the dishwasher. The flexible gooseneck is very useful for getting the mirror in just the right position. Coordinating the light from the two LEDs with the image in the mirror takes some practice. I’ve found that the mirror surface needs to be at least 4 inches from the object being viewed to make use of the light from the LEDs. The rectangular mirror is of remarkably high quality, with distortion-free imaging at all angles. This lighted mirror has earned a permanent spot in my tool bag.The only problem I’ve encountered with the inspection mirror is with the installation of the two button cell batteries. The instructions show that the batteries should both be installed with the + terminal up, but in actuality the upper battery must be installed with the + terminal down. The battery cover doesn’t fit flush with the back of mirror case when the batteries are installed. The cover bulges out about 3/16 inch, but this does not affect the performance of the mirror.Made in China.

This is a pretty nice mirror and creates much-needed visibility in a number of situations. Because of the electronics housed in the head, it is a bit thicker that ideal. That’s not a problem most of the time, but can present one if you have to use it in a very tight space. The area of the head is a bit of a double-edged sword; you can see more than with some other inspection mirrors, but again, can be difficult in tight spaces. The led lights are a nice touch, but it would be nice if the switch were on the handle instead of right next to the mirror.

Every DIYer and Professional needs a LED lighted telescoping inspection mirror. This product comes with two CR2032 batteries, which power two bright LED lights. The handle extends from 9″ to 24 inches respectfully and has a flexible gooseneck. The gooseneck adjusts to any angle for those hard to reach areas. The body is made of anodized aluminum and the telescope is made of grooved stainless steel to prevent rotational slipping. The mirror glass measures at 2-1/2″ x 1 -1/2″. Make sure to position the batteries according to the battery compartment markings. The battery compartment cover on my mirror doesn’t seem to close down flush with housing with batteries in place. General warrants its non-digital and non-powered products against defects in material or workmanship on a limited lifetime term.

This is a nice inspection mirror at fair price point. My observations:• The body is made from aluminum which feels substantial and built to last. • The shaft that holds the mirror is steel and also feels strong.• The mirror stays in place. I’ve had some inspections mirrors that don’t stay in place. This one maintains where I place it.• The grip is good with or without gloves.• Batteries included. They are also batteries that are easy to find when you need more.• The LED lights are bright enough.• To me, the mirror size is accurate to my needs and most that will use this. Not too big or small.• The mirror telescopes with ease yet enough resistance to hold form.Overall, I’m satisfied with this product. I couldn’t find anything that concerned me. I’ve had inspection mirrors that were of a much lesser quality. This one is good. I recommend.
