I’ve used it a few times, and it seems like it should hold up for quite a while. Pretty torquey for a 12 volt. Even though this has a high and low gear speed, (switch on top), the trigger has 2 stages. 1st is a variable speed, (NICE!) The second is a non-variable high speed. The only longevity issue I see at this time is when the trigger is pulled to high speed and released suddenly. The gun has a quick-lock to stop the motor from spinning when the trigger is released, resulting in a BIG electrical arc, (spark) coming from the brushes. This may cause the motor to burn out prematurely.

I keep ordering this 12vdc/ 2 speed as i use the low speed for taping holes and the high speed for drilling. Best compact drill on the market for tight spaces and light weight. Only weak spot is the main chuck bearing as have worn this out before, but takes several years of daily use…

Nice drill. A little smaller than the average drill and light weight. I have used it to drill holes in thick steel shelving and to drive 1 5/8″ drywall screws into 2×4’s with no problem. I gave it 4 stars only because it does not have a built in bubble level.
