The Genesis GLCD2038A 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Drill Driver has a compact design with a high performance motor that delivers 350 in. lbs. of torque power. The high- strength transmission delivers 2 speeds for incredible power and speed. The ergonomic handle has rubber inserts and provides comfort and stable tool control. The drill driver includes a built-in LED work light, an on-board battery power indicator and an electric brake. The tool weighs 2.5 lbs. and includes a 20-Volt compact lithium-ion battery pack, a compact charger and double-ended screwdriver bit.

This will not replace, but purchased as a back-up to my Dewalts and fills in very well. The chuck is not as strong and think the 350-rpm low speed is a bit too slow.

After using this drill to build a small cabinet, I found out quickly that the battery doesn’t last long when you’re doing more heavy drilling. I drilled a bunch of pocket holes and it really drained it down. After re-charging, I only used it to screw in the screws and found it to last a bit longer.In terms of charging, the booklet says it’ll take 3-5 hours to charge a completely discharged battery. Mine took about 3 1/2 to fully charge. It comes with a plug-in 120V/60Hz charger. There is a battery life indicator on the side of the drill which does come in handy to see where you’re at.It’s really lightweight, much lighter than my other drill/drivers. It’s got a good grip to it.It has an LED work light on the front which could be useful if working in a dimly lit area. I didn’t need to rely on this feature while working on my projects but it’s good to have just in case.It comes with a screwdriver bit, but I didn’t see a place on the drill where it could be stored. Wish it had one because my other drills do and I often use it when swapping out the screwdriver bit for a drill bit.Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone that does small projects and isn’t looking for a heavy duty drill – due to the quick battery drain.

As advertised and reviewed by other buyers, it is a good value and performs very well. Gave it a good test of screwing up several feet of wood fencing and still had power left over. Light weight and comfortable to use.
