Last week I discovered that I had a laundry room cabinet coming loose from the wall (wife putting heavy items in it) so I thought I would just take my electric drill and put new screws in the studs, my electric drill would not let me take it all the way in. I had ordered this impact driver a couple weeks ago so I thought just wait for it to arrive, it arrived a couple of days ago, I was not sure if a cordless driver would work but to my surprise it finished driving the screw in without hesitation. Color me surprised. I would recommend this product.

I’m a Bosch fan but I gotta say this handy Genesis impact driver was just as good as the ones already in my tool bag. It comes with the driver, battery, charger, Philips bit and owners manual. Quick changing 1/4 hex collar that fits most dirver bits. There is a built in LED light which was handy putting on the sign in the video. Power wise, it has 1062 inch pound of torque and a very handy battery power indicator, The trigger speed is variable, just a light touch needed for most jobs, but the impact engages quickly. Fairly light in my hand – I’m a woman and it wasn’t bulky to handle.

This driver is compact, lightweight and powerful! 1/4 inch hex, quick change locking collet. This drill has a bright built in LED light. Amazing 1062 inch pound of torque, cast aluminum gear housing with electric brake and battery power indicator and variable speed trigger switch from 0 to 2200 RPMs. This driver fits in my hand very comfortably with a rubberized non slip pistol grip and only weighs 2.5 lbs. This driver has a 20 volt Lithium ion battery it provides more power and double the run time of Ni/cad, and will hold its charge for up to 18 months in storage. Charging time is 3-5 hours.

The drill driver is just the right weight for a drill driver. A drill driver that is lighter will not have the Quality. It is a good looking driver. Worked good out of the box after a battery charge which did not take very long. It was packed very good in a very attractive package. Battery is very easy to replace. It is avery strong driver. I think anyone would like it.

==== First Impressions ====Basic tool with battery and charger in a simple box. No storage box. One small sample hex drive Phillips screwdriver bit was included.==== Operation ====I really didn’t expect much for the price. But I was mildly impressed with the smooth action of the driver. I don’t expect to use the impact feature much, as it seems very lightweight and has no adjustment or published torque value. I spent about an hour using the tool to remove many small and rusted hex head screws from an old metal cabinet. It worked well, even for the ones which seemed likely to break from excessive rust. None broke. At the end, the tool indicated the battery was at 50% charge. I put it on the charger and the tool then indicated 100% after about 20 minutes of charging. The charge indicators are a plus and not usually available on the cheaper batteries or tools. There is an LED work light in the front of the tool which supplies an ok amount of light.I was a little confused at first about how to attach the bit, but I quickly realized I needed to pull the lock ring on the collar forward instead of back.==== Summary ====Surprisingly good performance for the price. Fast charger. Charge indicator in the tool. I will probably use it a lot.

Awesome 20 volt lithium 1/4 inch cordless impact driver! Perfect for any project big or small. The drill charged extremely fast and held it’s charge for a lengthy time. This drill is light weight by design and can deliver not only speed but power. I’ve had many cordless impact driver’s in the past and this one ranks right up there for quality of driver!

I ordered this impact driver after I saw the 20-volt Lithium-Ion blah blah blah. I’m thinking okay this one the battery will last longer and it might have a little more power than some of my other drivers. I have to say even unboxing this unit it has a really cheap feel to it. The battery charger is super light weight plastic that doesn’t have any substance to it. I give me pause. I’m worried if it is insulated and wired properly etc. The unit its self has a simular feel. It is pretty light weight so that is a plus that your arm won’t get tired using it. on the first use I could smell a bit of an electronic burning smell. This is probably just the unit getting broken in but again it just isn’t giving me any confidence in this unit. I think I will probably go with a different unit as my go to tool. I’ll keep this one as a backup.

Genesis 20-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/4 in. Cordless Impact DriverThis is a great little impact driver.Up until today whenever I needed to drive something like a deck screw I have used my 3/8” drill, normally this has worked but this impact driver is so much better. Using a drill if the screw became difficult to drive it was real easy for the bit to slip and cause the screw tip slot to strip, with this impact driver once the screw starts to become tight the impact motion kicks in and the screw continues to drive itself in, pretty amazing. I tested the driver by running 3.5” deck screws into a treated 4×6, it handled these really long screws with no problem. If you run a long screw in and then remove it be careful, the screw will become very hot. This impact driver from Genesis comes with the driver, battery, charger, Philips bit and owners manual. It is very well built, balanced nicely and feels great in the hand. To install a bit into the driver simply pull forward on the collar and insert the bit. There are three indicator lights that tell you the charge of the battery. Once the battery has run down it will take from 3-5 hours to recharge. To recharge the battery remove it from the driver and slide the charger on the battery, it fits really snug. The owners manual states the Lithium Ion batteries should hold a charge in storage for 18 months. There is also a light on the front to help illuminate whatever you are using the driver on. I was amazed how well this driver worked.ProsReally powerfulWell builtLong battery lifeConsNone

I know, everybody wants name brands, but if you can get an excellent product at a lower cost then why not? That’s the case with this Genesis 20V impact driver. If it’s power you want, this has it. It has 1062 In-Lbs of Torque. Enough torque to take the lug nuts off my car so I can do a tire rotation(see picture). If you purchase a socket adaptor set (NOT included with driver) you can turn your driver into a socket driver. It has a 1/4″ quick change collar, and a built in work light. It also has a power indicator so you know when you need to recharge. It does take about five or six hours to charge from zero charge, BUT, once it is charged it stays ready for an incredible 18 months. No more going into the tool chest only to find a dead batteryIt also has a variable speed trigger switch for control, as well as a reversing switch. What I really like is that it has a 2 year warranty for home owner use.I am very happy with my Genesis impact driver.

I ordered this driver online so as I was unpacking it the first thing I noticed is the care and neatness it was packaged with. This driver has everything you need in a DIY’er tool. It has many extra features that make the job a little easier. My two favorite features are the battery power indicator and the built-in LED light. You can certainly pay more for an impact driver but this tool is just as good as those higher priced ones. I love the way this impact driver operates and I know you will too,
