Genesis 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Impact Wrench does the job, but the design could be better. I haven’t really given it a workout yet, but it loosened the lug nuts on my sedan in seconds. Will be happy to have this the next time I get a flat and have to remove an over-torqued wheel! The carrying case is good, and the inclusion of 4 sockets is handy. The sockets take a firm push to seat on the anvil. The built in LED is a bit of a gimmick. It comes on when the wrench is in operation, which means you’ve already found the lug nut in the dark. Would be nice to have the option to switch in on in advance. My one gripe is the “forward/reverse” selector. It’s just like that of any drill or impact driver, so it feels familiar. But it’s located such that a right-hander’s trigger finger overlaps the button when it’s set to “reverse”. See pics. This makes it very easy to accidentally switch it back to “forward” and TIGHTEN the nut you’re trying to remove. I’ve never had this happen on any other reversible power tool, so I think the placement of the switch should be improved. Genesis GLIW20AK 20 Volt Lithium-Ion ½” Drive Impact Wrench kit, Includes ½” Impact Wrench, 20 Volt Lithium-Ion 2.0 Ah Battery, Battery Charger, (4) impact Sockets, 11/16”, ¾”, 13/16” and 7/8” and Blow Molded Carrying Case – This 20 Volt Impact Wrench has a Maximum Torque of 250 Foot Pounds, LED Work Light, Variable Speed and Electric Brake, all of the features found on impact wrenches costing double or triple the price…I tested this impact wrench installing lag bolts, Simpson String Tie Hex Head Structural Screws, Tapcon Anchor Bolts, Nuts on Carriage Bolts, it drew the head of the carriage bolt into the wood surface and nuts on threaded rod installing Super Strut Channel conduit racks…The impact wrench performed as indicated, intended and expected as per the specifications without any problems, this impact wrench should not be compared to a 1400 foot pound impact wrench costing $600.00, they are as different as night and day…I have read many complaints that low end impact wrenches are not worth purchasing, the problem was not the impact wrench it was the individual purchasing the impact wrench…Know your application and purchase the appropriate impact wrench to accomplish the task…This wrench would serve many tradesmen requiring an impact wrench at 250 foot pounds…The impact wrench is also covered by a (2) year warranty…

Just received this GENESIS 20 VOLT LITHIUM TORQUE WRENCH – amazed at how much torque oozes from this little gizmo – came in a sturdy handy storage case, which makes organization and storage an ease – lightweight and extremely easy to handle and maneuver – now we can tackle those big and difficult lug nut and other big nut jobs – very very pleased with this little giant of a machine – very well made and sturdy – looking forward to all the years of use – highly recommend

If you’re looking for a tool to help you with an auto job right now that’ll last for awhile, this is your tool.There’s plenty of torque, battery seems to hold charge well. I don’t know how long it lasts as I’ve not used it for a lot of sustained tasks. All I personally have use for with this tool is changing lug nuts on wheels.When the tool is in operation the lightweight plastic likes to jump, and I’m not sure if it’d hold up well if you ever dropped it especially on a concrete garage floor.

I just tried out my Genesis 20-volt lithium-ion impact wrench. The wrench has good power and torque. The wrench comes with one rechargeable battery and a battery charger. The impact wrench comes in a nice plastic case That is easily stored and includes four impact sockets. Sizes are 11/16” to 7/8”, all common that will fit most car, truck or trailer wheel lugs. I’m not a mechanic and plan on using this tool about a dozen times a year and mostly for changing out tires. What I’ve tested out so far the wrench has performed great.

Really strong for the price. I ordered one from the big A and returned it because it just didnt have enough power. This one doesn’t seem to hesitate. Its surprisingly light for its size. Im a little skeptical about some of the plastics, perhaps not the toughest or thickest but we will see how it does over long haul. As soon as I got it I hit the lugs on the car because I knew they were on with at least 80 ft lbs. Didnt have any trouble.

GENESIS 20- VOLT Lithium-ion Impact Wrench Kit.we received this Genesis 20-Volt Lithium-ion Impact Wrench to evaluate for the Home Depot Seeds program. It came in a very nice plastic carrying case that included the Genesis Impact Tool, battery, charger and four impact sockets which are heavier than the standard sockets. The Genesis Impact Tool has a work light so you can see what you are working on, it has an easy forward and reversing switch like my power drill. First thing I charged the battery to a full charge. Put the right impact socket that fit my car wheel nut and removed a lug nut on my car with ease, the reinstalled it as shown in photo.I decided that we would take this Genesis kit with us when we travel with out R.V.. We have a large 5th. wheel and if we have tire trouble the Genesis Impact Tool being battery power would be very handy to changing a tire.

Suits me down to the ground. I don’t often have need of an impact wrench so this budget model is ideal for occasional use. It has a good LED light which effectively illuminates the work-piece when the trigger is pulled. The battery charged up in less than an hour but it did have some charge already. The build quality is good and the case keeps everything neat and tidy. The four sockets included look to be well made and have flank drive to reduce wear on fasteners.

Genesis 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Impact Wrench Kit with LED Work Light and Removable Battery, Charger, 4-Piece Socket Set and Case seems to be a very nice kit so far. I used it to remove some lug nuts and tighten some bolts holding a deck to the house. I had to let up because it would have pulled the the bolt head right through the wood. It didn’t even break a sweat taking off lug nuts from an SUV and a trailer. The battery doesn’t have an indicator of the charge state and the impact doesn’t either. The battery is light compared to the big name impact drivers. The unit doesn’t sound like it is as high quality as the more expensive units, but it is a good kit to throw in the trunk or truck for some quick work. I pulled a rusted 5/8 nut off also, no problem. Variable speed makes it easy to control the torque.Bright LED light. This would be fine for the DIYer!

I received the Genesis 20-Volt Lithium-Ion Impact Wrench Kit with LED Work Light and Removable Battery, Charger, 4-Piece Socket Set and Case and instantly put it to work. I purchased a new Travel Trailer recently and when I got it home I saw it had a nail in the tire. I thought this was an opportunity to try out this impact driver and get the wheel off for tire repair. First I noticed the driver could not engage the lug nuts on this particular wheel as it couldn’t get close enough. If you have this situation you may wish to invest in an extension. I had an extension handy but it isn’t the high impact type one should get. Once I did get the impact wrench on the lug nuts with the extension I found it wasn’t quite able to back them off. Using a large breaker bar I was finally able to break the lug nuts. I thave little doubt these wheel nuts were over torqued at the factory and it isn’t reasonable to think any portable impact drivers would have been able to break them loose. After repairing the tire, I remounted the wheel and used the impact driver with an extension to torque the nuts. This task it accomplished well and lug nut torque was good. I’ll enjoy lots of opportunity to use this in the future as I have 3 vehicles, a Travel Trailer and a golf cart. Should make life much easier!
