Great product. Can even cut 1/4 if you take your time. Glides thru 3/16. Need to but up guide for saw to get perfect smooth and straight cut.

Cuts smooth and quickly. Easily controlled, and light enough to take on the roof with no hassles.

This tool is amazing. It will cut metal slick as a whistle. Real happy with the metal cutting saw. It takes a lot of work made easy

What a cleaver little cutter. I am glad I found this little saw. It cut through my metal roofing project with ease. It was a lot faster and gave me a much cleaner cut than an abrasive cut off wheel. The twin blade cutting system allows the blades to last a long time. I was going though high quality reciprocating saw and jig saw blades at an alarming rate trying to get the cleanest cut possible. This saw does a better job.

The blade it comes with is ok but overall the steel chip catcher works great and I’m really happy with how well it cuts

The saw did very well at first but stopped rotating during load after a few hours of work. While working it was very impressive so I bought a second one hoping the first was a bad egg.

Great little saw.If you go slowly, treat it like a light duty saw, it relatively quietly, cleanly cuts thru 1/4 inch A-36 angle steel faster than a reciprocating saw ever will. Easy to hold and balance.

Works well in 1/8″ or thicker metal. Clean cut no heat.

In the past, i have used a chop saw, hand grinder or Jig saw to cut metal. This saw is much better for most of what i do. It gives you the control of a circular saw and has the speed of cutting you would expect from much bigger saws. I zipped through some 1/8″ metal pieces for a new fish fry pan. It’s portable so not having to carry the piece to the chop saw every time was great. This is and will be a very handy shop tool!

At the beginning of the comprehensive instruction manual there are five pages of safety information. Five pages! What was I letting myself in for? With all that going round in my head I was expecting a tool that is temperamental, even difficult, to use.Well, I am very pleased to report that this saw is a delight to use. One handed operation is comfortable and controllable, as long as the operator is right handed. I wonder if Genesis makes a left handed version? It feels solid and well-made and I can imagine this tool working relentlessly all day long. This saw and blade combo can be used to cut mild steel and wood – see additional video here https://youtu.be/UDOLMQksEqY.The excellent blade slices through metal cleanly and creates masses of metal chips in the process. The chip collector catches some of them but there were still a lot of chips all over the work area. In the video they can be seen moving along the tool. I can vouch for the claimed cut depth as I also achieved a cut depth of 1 5/8”. The rip guide is accurately marked with both metric and SAE sizes. Now I wish to revise my earliest reservations about this tool and point out that the instruction book that accompanies the tool includes good, clear instructions and a wealth of safety information. The tool has a two year warranty.

This worked very well when cutting 18 gage metal. I have not had a chance to use on material thicker than that. It is lighter than I thought it would be. I have other projects that I will be using this for.

Performed very well on 1/4 metal cutting it like butter would recommend to anyone

This is a wonderful saw for cutting metals, plastic and wood. Light weight, compact and powerful. Its limited only by its 1 5/8″ cutting depth. Its feels well balanced in your hand, the fit and finish are very nice. What’s in the box: The saw, a 24 tooth 4 3/4″ blade, a cutting fence, allen wrench for adjusting the cutting fence. This saw is intended to cut steel, aluminum and other light weight metal stock. I tested this saw on some 1/8″ sheet steel and 3/8″ x 6″ aluminum bar. It cut both very well with a clean cut and no bucking. It’s much better at cutting these metals than any other handheld saw that I have used. I also tested it on 1/4″ Lexan plastic sheeting. It cut smoothly with and didn’t crack like other saws I have used. The last test was on some scrap 1″x6″ wood studs. It cut the wood very easy with a very little chipping or splintering. Since this saw is so light and maneuverable it can be used with one hand freeing the other to hold the work piece. The saw has a small fence that makes cutting the same size pieces very easy. The fence has a 180 degree bend on the outer end, this makes a great place to hold the saw with both hands and make a very straight cut with no binding. The saw blade is 4 3/4″ diameter with a 3/8″ arbor. This is a very rare sized blade but a 4 1/2″ blade with the same sized arbor does fit and opens the door to using this on all types of materials. Just make sure that the 6000 PRM is shown on the blade. This little saw even has a saw dust collection box on the front under a clear door and it works well. This is a great little saw that cuts a multitude of materials with ease.

Metal housing of the saw got REALLY hot during a cut of 32 inches in length. Material being cut was 0.19″ thick, 316 stainless steel.Blade is for “Mild Steel only” so I was not surprised when it became quite dull @24 inches into the cut, changed blade out with a new one to finish the cut.Using a guide bar for the cut produced very nice results! Much better than “freehand” cut with an abrasive cutting disc on a grinder. Not certain if this saw can endure the other chore I have planned for it, ? (90 linear inches of cutting, same material mentioned) Stainless steel is much different than mild carbon steel that much is well known to me & anyone familiar with metals. Based on the apparent struggle it had with my first use of it, I consider this saw to be adequate for light to medium useage,. Good tool for the price! Be sure to wear safety glasses & a face shield when cutting, as metal chips & eyes dont mix very well!
