(I would give this monitor 4.5 stars if I could.) The picture quality on this monitor is very good. Colors are vibrant and deep, particularly greens, the image is sharp, and 10 bit color is supported (over DisplayPort). (HDR is also supported, but at the most basic level, and I doubt I’ll use it much.) I like extra features like picture in picture (see two display inputs at once), ‘quick switch’ on the menu joystick, and being able to disable the power LED. The panel used by this monitor has obvious dimming at off-center angles such that the left and right sides are noticeably darker than most of the screen (probably 10-15%). However, this is better than another model I tried that used the same panel, and it’s only really noticeable on all-white windows, like web pages or word processors. My monitor has some backlight bleed in the upper left corner and in the mid-right top, but it’s only noticeable on an all-black screen, and it’s not enough for me to be bothered. This monitor also is ‘G-SYNC compatible’ and supports FreeSync. I have an NVIDIA card and G-SYNC does activate in games, etc. However, my monitor also spontaneously ‘resets’ about once every 18 hours of use or so (as if I’ve quickly turned the monitor off and on), which I believe is because the monitor is G-SYNC ‘compatible’ rather than fully G-SYNC enabled with the ‘full G-SYNC module’. But, even then, the resets only take about 5 seconds to resolve, and it’s not enough to make me want to return/replace it. Gigabyte has also been good about releasing firmware updates for the monitor, so perhaps they will fix the ‘reset’ issue with a future update. (They also released an update earlier to help resolve backlight bleed.) Overall, this monitor is the best I’ve yet owned and I’m glad I bought it, and I easily recommend it to anyone who wants a vivid, quick, sharp monitor with G-SYNC and FreeSync compatibility and some nice extra features.

I have to admit I was skeptical of reviews. But the colors are sharp, the lighting on it is there. I do a lot of gaming and the details just pop after adjusting the settings a bit. I wear glasses and I don’t really need them to see everything going on. It was a good buy for the price I paid at the time for it.

its a great monitor. all round. its great for office use. and its a beast for gaming. however its got high resolution 1440p, you should have a big video card

I wanted a 1440 monitor with a good picture that would work for both gaming and work purposes. I initially tried a Dell TN monitor that cost way less and that was a big mistake – the picture quality was terrible and so were viewing angles. So I decided to try this one, and it was exactly what I wanted. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for. I’m not extremely sensitive to some of the things that others are like uneven backlighting. I’ve gamed on it for a few dozen hours now, and got a second one, and the quality on both for build and picture is great.

I have no complaints about this monitor! It exceeded my expectations. One annoying thing is that you need to connect it with a provided usb cable to use the OSD Sidekick software. It’s annoying to use a USB port, need to add a card now, but, worth it. The software is great! If you’re looking fir a monitor with similar specs, I’d go for this one. I took a long time to research the best monitor with comparable specs, this was the best one for me and couldn’t be happier…may bite the financial bullet and order another soon

After much research I chose this monitor because it is super fast, with billions of colors, and Gigabyte is a top notch manufacturer. I am very happy with it. The stand and height adjustment works well, and the bezel around the display is thin and elegant. I would by this monitor again.

I do a lot of photo editing. Having 1 billion colors makes the photos stand out. The 27″ screen allows for some zoom in editing for those detail area. The different modes allows you to select how you like the pictures to appear.

its great. not ideal for gaming because of high resolution (1440p). but is great for mixed use. for work is awesome. and picture looks great for gaming
