Designed for gamers, enthusiasts, and content creators, this motherboard is powered by the Intel Z490 chipset and supports 10th generation Intel processors with the LGA 1200 socket. It takes full advantage of the PCIe 3.0 data bandwidth to deliver high performance for tasks such 3D rendering, video editing, and more. Up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM, reaching 5000 MHz when overclocked, can be installed across four memory slots. The ATX motherboard also features advanced cooling and supports up to two M.2 SSDs and six SATA III storage drives, which can be put into RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 configuration. Its two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots can accommodate 2-Way and Quad-GPU AMD CrossFireX configurations to maximize your system’s graphical capabilities for high frame rates, connecting 4K and 8K monitors, and faster video rendering times. Alternatively, the built-in HDMI port allows you to take advantage of integrated CPU graphics. Two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots are available alongside two Thunderbolt 3 headers for compatible expansion cards.
Other features include a fast 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, which allow you to transfer data from compatible peripherals at up to 10 Gb/s. The Z490 AORUS ELITE also delivers deep and immersive 7.1-channel surround sound through the Realtek ALC1200 audio codec. You can customize your computing experience using the addressable RGB headers to connect light strips, which can be synced with other Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0-compatible peripherals such as mice and keyboards using the desktop software or mobile app. Windows 10 64-bit is required to take advantage of all the motherboard’s features.

After deciding to update my gen 6 cpu to a 10th gen, I looked around and found this MB had everything I was looking for! Everything went together without any issues! Booted up the first time! BIOS menu took a little getting used to, but I was able to navigate through it without any problems. Connected a i7-10700 to it and it’s running smoothly. Haven’t tried OC it yet. Also have 2-NVME drives and 4-2.5 SSD’s and the MB sees them fine. The Video is a 2080 Super and fly’s through my Adobe software crazily fast! I have FS2020 and the visuals are amazing! Currently running 32gb of RAM and soon to be upgrading to 64gb! XMP profiles worked great! I highly recommend this MB!

Ran into some issues getting Windows 10 to boot on the NVMe drive after install. Gigabyte’s documentation is lacking. Had to do some searching on other sites and forums. The Gigabyte BIOS update is not working in Windows had to run it from a USB drive. I usually buy ASUS or MSI but I thought I would give Gigabyte a try after reading reviews and listening to some friends recommendations. Hopefully Gigabyte gets this resolved in future updates.

Gigabyte needs to really work on the documentation they provide. Ran into some problems getting the NVMe drive to boot after Win10 install but luckily I found the needed information.
