This was a new install from another filter I had. It was very easy to install.. I have had others in the past, and this one does NOT leak when changing the replacement filter. In past I had to remove items from under the sink and put down a towel. I still put a towel down, but no leaks. Just turn the cold water off under the sink, turn on the cold water faucet and then shut it off. Remove the old filter, no drips, and install the new one.FYI…… Write the date on the new filter so you know how long before you need to change it.Your water pressure will drop very much when you need to replace the filter. Have fun…..

Filter cartridge replacement took two tries. Leaked the first time because I had not seated it completely. Filter is beneath kitchen sink. Works well to clean up chlorine and other obnoxious tastes from city water. Each cartridge lasts 5-6 months with just the two of us.
