The black Atom RAID 1TB USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C External SSD from Glyph Technologies provides two 500GB SSDs that quickly provide a total capacity of 1TB for your Mac and Windows systems. The SSDs feature a slim M.2 form factor and are configured in a RAID 0 array that enhances the delivery of data up to 950 MB/s. To support the increased performance, Glyph has outfitted the Atom RAID with a USB 3.1 Type-C port that transfers data at speeds up to 10 Gb/s and sports a small and reversible design.
The Atom RAID is preformatted for HFS+ with Journaling and compatible with Time Machine, letting it work right out of the box with a Mac. Reformatting is required for use with a Windows system. With a lightweight and rugged design, the Atom RAID is well suited for the rigors of daily travel. For compatibility with a wide range of USB products, Glyph includes a cable for directly connecting the Atom RAID to USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 systems along with a second cable that creates a connection with computers having a standard USB Type-A port.

I have purchased a total of 19 of these, only one had a problem and glyph just gave me a new one even though they couldn’t find a problem. Amazing customer service. Amazing product. My drives are used for data management of cinema camera raw files, so they get written on a lot and they get written to the max and often. This has got to be at least year three for me and still no problems from my oldest drives. I cannot endorse this enough.

I have been using the hard drive for a couple of weeks and so far, so good. I have been using a 2 GB glyph atom raid drive for 4 years for file storage and backup for the last 4 years now and it has been amazing. Never a single problem, very reliable, small, fast. I expect this new one to go down the same road.

I love the speed of the HD. It is SSD and I use it as a backup and to store other files on it. it is an encrypted drive, so I feel my data is protected. I have the 4 terabit drive and adds a lot of capability to my laptop by increasing the storage

Love these drives. We use 3 of them for photo and video backup on location. They are fast, work great and don’t get really hot like some others. Only issue is cost, ouch.
