I bought 2 of these for backup and travel drives for a TV show I work with. I noticed some of the bad reviews – about not mounting, etc. – but I’ve had no issues so far (after 3 weeks). I’d say they are a great bargain for the price (BH had them discounted for about $550 each)

It works ok with moderate speed. It need a complicated format proceedure to work with a pc.

I immediately transferred 7 TB to the drive and things are working very smoothly. Good integration with my Adobe apps. Happy so far!

Once I had it running, it was fast and quiet. It is tedious to format for a pc. You have to be certain to locate the Glyph or you might wipe another drive.

So glad I bought this! Way easy. Plugin and use (Mac Pro here). I plan on getting 2 more as both back up and video editing drives.

I paid a hundred dollars more for this device just 3 months ago. The device is not a premium device. Customer service is rude when you ask for assistance. They request you send them the answers to 9 technical questions. They request a receipt and other information about the purchase so make sure you have a receipt. I understand this if I needed a repair or replacement but to get any support at all? Nah. So, the device worked very well for about two months. Then it started to be very slow at around 25% capacity. It will never transfer more than 40 Mbs over 3.1 gen 2 and that’s its fastest bus speed. It would have been a better purchase to just buy the equivalent in ssds. If you just need storage there are cheaper solutions with the same reliability. I was stoked it was made in the US. Now I’m disappointed.

I have 8 of these discs, They are very reliable (most of times) but the 9th that I bought stopped working after a week. Ironically some of the other discs from Glyph I brought into the field and it was just fine, while the one that stopped working has been just sitting on my desk all the time. B&H customer service was just useless.
