The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

This router is the absolute worst, I’ve had to get support involved multiple times, I’ve had to reset it multiple times, and when I say reset I don’t mean a simple click of a button, I mean literally having to completely disconnect everything with support on the phone and reset my entire google account to get this device to work, all just to do it again in a month or so. You can tell the support reps don’t want to be doing their job either, then to top it all off the WiFi itself isn’t even that amazing. Not worth the headache, I wish I could return this but sadly the only option is to request a new nest device.

We had the old google WiFi hub and were able to use the nest WiFi to create a whole mesh network for our home. There are no dead zones and everything runs great. Super easy set up.

I actually tried four of these and even with multiple calls to Google tech team we could never get them to work period. It may be that they are not compatible with Fiber to the Home or at least not with mine. We have fiber to the home with a Zhone gateway and it simply won’t work with these while it seems to work great with most everything else.

We have had the Nest Mesh Wifi system in our primary residence for almost 2 years and it has performed flawless! During Covid shutdown when my wife had a video conference meeting or one of my boys had a video class they had to be in it was super simple to make their device the priority so it never lagged. We have a smart house with everything automated and running on wifi and this handles everything flawlessly! We have had such good luck with it we just bought another set for our vacation home too.

As such device is good. Its just it need more features. specially for family/kids. 1. I should be able to control the data flow per device/hour/data usage.2. Need alerts if there is a huge data usage on any given device3. should be a able to see the urls visited by each device.

Purchased this product for my new home and thought it’d be perfect since my old router was 7yr old and thought this is a good opportunity to upgrade; apparently, it was not. The wifi signal keeps dropping ( I am talking about disconnecting and reconnecting more than five times in a min when it’s bad!!!!! Imagine having a smart home and this keeps happening). I checked the nest home app, it says everything is normal and the internet is fast so I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Anyways, very disappointed and frustrated especially during this pandemic everything is virtual.

Internet signal not constant, once shown great then good all of sudden weak back to good then great again and points never move, always was in great signal status, unreliable Have four units 35′ apart and router in central location form two units 35′ apart and third 20′ apart from the router.
