The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

I have two routers, one being used as an AP. It was constantly rebooting itself. I finally after MUCH arguing got Google to send a replacement. It also is constantly rebooting. When they are working, coverage and speed are excellent.

Does not work with my older Goggle Wifi and On Hub despite what Google says.

I love the simplicity to setup the Nest WiFi. Mesh networking is the way to go for home network reliability and speed. I have setup two households and with Google Nest WiFi. I recommend it to anyone that need flawless WiFi in your home.

While I have a gaming router for my main wifi usage due to having so many computers in my house that are used for gaming. I was looking for a good router to use to extend the wifi signal to my garage. The wifi is always spotty at best while trying to use a computer out there for my work usage. I got the google nest and it seems to be working better to extend and strengthen the signal to my garage computer. I don’t lose signal anymore like I was for so long.

Very easy and convenient for everyday use and when you have your hands full to make a phone call, look something up quick or just play music.

I upgraded from OnHub mesh Wifi to a Nest mesh WiFi. The setup is very simple and coverage is excellent. Using the Home app you can access lots of features, connection info and WiFi management tools down to the device level: while Google manages the configuration and under the hood stuff.

I live in a 900sq ft prewar row style nyc apartment and the internet couldn’t reach the living room to the bed room. The nest is amazing, strong and consistent connection. It’s also a pretty good speaker.

I like the Google WiFi better for general coverage. I also don’t know why the main unit doesn’t have the assistant built in like the other nodes do. Seems like a miss there. So I have keep another device in the same room for Google commands. The speed is definitely better, but the previous version wasn’t bad and better than most people’s Internet speed anyway so the extra speed isn’t that important. It also seems like I lose connectivity randomly or it pauses for some reason. Not often and I can’t say it’s all the fault of the WiFi, but I seem to notice it more. Overall, I don’t know that it was worth the upgrade. I was able to give the old mesh to a family member, so it added some value.

The setup was relatively simple and the coverage was great but the performance wasn’t what I expected. The speed I was seeing wasn’t near what I have from my gateway so I decided to move to a setup that has Wifi6 and better specs. Still, I would definitely recommend these for the average consumer who doesn’t have super fast internet speed but needs to have better Wifi coverage and a simple, easy interface.

We have been using this Google Nest Router for a few weeks and it has been a significant upgrade to our previous router in terms of speed! The convenience that it also works with our other nest products is amazing too. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a new router!

I have 5 Google Nest Mini’s in my apartment. Adding this and connecting them to it, gave me some benefits of more options on things like the Lights controls. It works with the Google Stuff better. No brainer if you need a Wifi Router and have Google Home at work in your house.

Nest wifi is a great buy, easy to install and works very well. Looks great also!

I got a Nest wifi router and point for my studio apartment because of steel beams in the walls that caused coverage issues. When it works, it’s great. Unfortunately, the Nest wifi point will drop to a weak connection or go offline completely, several times a week. When the connection is weak, it hangs onto the devices that connected to it but doesn’t deliver any bandwidth – streaming services hang, Nest hub speakers go offline and connected computers struggle. The only way to break the hold is to restart the Nest wifi point and hope that it fixes the connection issues. I’ve factory reset it several times and it’s better for a short window before the connection problems come back.If i had to do it again, I’d get the Nest router and hope for the best. The additional wifi point causes more trouble than it’s worth.

I purchased a Nest Wifi router to replace out-of-service equipment, and I’m not disappointed at all. Simple to set up, great wifi coverage, and nice features to make it easy for guest to share the wifi and to put some limits on the kid’s access to the Internet.

This new generation of Google mesh routers is faster, more capable and comes with Google mini built in which, by the way, features ambient computing by implementing ultrasound to sense when someone approaches, a neat trick that will enable new cool features with coming firmware updates, no doubt. Set up was a breeze. Integrating with an earlier mesh network works also, but I should have read the online instructions first 😉 It worked anyway. I do recommend this!

The main Nest router is working fine, but the additional Point I purchased to improve the coverage didn’t help even though the size of the house is less than 2000 Sq ft
