The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Faster throughput, stronger signal over longer range I’m getting 170 Mbps down and 10-12 Mbps up. Easy to set up on the second try. For some reason the first day I tried it just would not connect to the internet. Next day I tried again with the exact same steps and it worked perfectly first time. I connected a simple multiport gigabit switch to the single spare port on the Nest router to connect multiple wired devices near it (network storage, printer, local PC etc) and was surprised to note the download was only 90 Mbps. But that doubled when I switched from Cat-5 cable to CAT-6. Wi-fi only device to device transfer showed 150-300 Mbps.

My network needed more devices for adding more smart devices. The Gek Squad added GOogle Nest Mesh to my current router for better coverage and a hundred plus more devices. It seems to be working but some old capabilities aren’t like mobile printing but not sure why. I am really excited about about progress so far but also cautious. I do like GN setup, management, and maintenance process.

Google Nest is working fine on Laptops and Smart TV but we are facing a lot of issue in our Iphones

The Nest was the simplest wifi router I ever set up. I had the router and the point working in a few minutes. And the Nest really performs! I got about 20% better download speeds that I did with another 5Ghz router. And upload speeds were twice as fast. I have great wifi coverage all over my property now.a really good value.

Two-story large farmhouse; it’s always been hard to get a good signal from the router, so we went with a mesh approach by purchasing Google Nest WiFi router and two points. Router in the center, points on one end of the house and the other. Plug and play with just the phone (Google home app) to help with setup. It’s been a year and a half, and I can think of only one instance after resetting the modem that one of the points didn’t reconnect properly. I reset it and it re-established itself fine after that. It’s been all I’ve expected plus the bonus of being able to use Google voice with the points (works well with other devices/Chromecast). Easy setup, monitoring, easy navigation and prioritization via the app. I’d recommend for anyone wanting to extend a basic single-router setup to a wider-encompassing mesh network.

This mesh network is worse then the wireless connection on my Motorola modem! I am requesting help and support or I will be returning this device pronto!

I am truly amazed by how much faster my WiFi became after installing the Google Nest WiFi router! This router is ideal for multiple devices that stream and download all at the same time. This modern style router looks great and blends in perfectly and is very easy to set up using the downloadable Google Home app. The router comes with one 6 ft Ethernet cable to connect to a modem or gateway, power adapter and quick start guide. I have multiple devices using the WiFi that would cause buffering issues, but the Nest router can accommodate up to 100 devices and seamlessly integrates and prioritizes the WiFi to optimize usages. I love that thus router even covers my entire house, (up to 2200 ft.) resulting in no more low WiFi signal bars or tv and gaming stream buffering.

I’ve been really pleased with the Nest Wifi mesh system so far. Setup was pretty simple, and the points have great speakers on them. They even connect with my other Google Home Mini speakers and create a pretty amazing surround sound system throughout my living room and kitchen. My only complaint so far is that during the first week, I was having some pretty frequent episodes where one of the points would go offline or not connect to the internet. I ended up having to unplug that point for awhile, but it seems to be okay now. Overall, it’s an investment but a good buy! Got my parents to buy one as well, and it’s been working great in their house which is much bigger than mine.

I ordered 1, but the signal fades in and out.Shows full bars with only 6mbps.Ordered 2 more for mesh action and it came in 1package with 2 separate mfg dates and 1 box has a double sticker with separate manufacturing dates 2 months apart.

Lots of people complaining that latest update broke their wifi. Myself included. It’s been broken for weeks for me, months for others and still no fix from google. I can’t zoom or teams reliably anymore https://support.google.com/googlenest/thread/34532153?hl=en

i had an old verizon router in my house. when carona hit all my children and myself were on zoom meetings / classrooms and the wifi could not keep up. i bought this, installed it in minutes and out wifi has been up ever since. blazing fast. all our devices get the speed now that we are paying for. 100/100 mbps. my kids love the fact that it palsy’s music and we love the fact that there is a basic web filter built in to the product that will at least block pornography in case their device filters have a glitch.

Works great when it works. Cuts out quite a bit. Some devices don’t stay connected.

Never knew how well a mesh network would work in my house. I had one main wifi from Spectrum, and an extender I put in another part of the house. But when I started having major connectivity problems, weak signals, and so on, I knew it was time for a wifi swapout. My family suggested mesh, and Google Mesh was the main frontrunner. Ever since I installed the two wifi routers (one as a point), I’ve had no further problems, no cutouts, no bad signals upstairs and outside, no more audio lagging behind the video. This is a spectacular upgrade I will never regret.

I must’ve been living in the dark ages all this time. For the past 3 years I had a regular router from a brand that has been making modems and routers for decades now. I wanted the Google Wi-fi, but those pills were a little pricy and I couldn’t be sure that they would reach everywhere. So I opted for a range extender instead. My apartment is two floors. My router is downstairs in the living room with my bedroom directly above that. Wi-fi was always spotty and was giving me 80mbps max, 30 on a good night, but most often 10 and I had to restart it multiple time, sometimes on the same night. Now I see the Nest is available. Should I get the router and the additional “wi-if point”? I don’t need a Google speaker. So I only buy the nest router. Just to test it out. I’m thinking if I end up needing more speed upstairs, I’ll just buy a second router and install it upstairs as I hear the “wi-if point” cuts speeds down in half. I’m tired of not getting my full money’s worth. Holy crap! I’m in my bedroom upstairs, on top of my queen size bed, the door closed, my smartphone bundled up in the covers, and the internet speed tester is still off the charts. 114mbps. In other words, I’m getting the speed I’ve been paying for all these years. And it stays that way! I checked the next morning, then the next afternoon and evening. Each time I’m at full speed everywhere within a 100 foot radius of that router, regardless of walls or floors. I love this Google Nest wifi router and am very happy with this little guy. It looks great and works just as well!

This router was easy to install and set up. It looks sleek and modern in my home. I find the performance to be fast and the guest network setup was simple and easy. My Wi-Fi connection is a lot stronger with this router than my previous one. Keep in mind that if you use a single router it only covers about 2,200 feet of space, so if your space is bigger you might need more than one.
