The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

No support, does not integrate well, for the money….go elsewhere!

Seems to work fine though I expected more and faster coverage

Switching to the Nest WiFi mesh system has been a real life-saver in the age of WFH and the pandemic, with over 20 devices in the home all simultaneously accessing the Internet and all needing top performance.I love the controls, the visibility into performance, and overall integration into the Google Home app.I’ve owned numerous WiFi routers over the year (Netgear, TP-Link, Apple Airport, etc.) and I would have no hesitation is saying that this is the best WiFi product for 2021 and beyond.

The Nest wifi is great, no lag and greatly extended range.

The router and access point were both super easy to setup and the mesh network is stable, fast with plenty of coverage. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for reliable Wi-Fi in a mult-story house.

We recently moved and were excited to have fiber available to us. We were immediately disappointed when our speeds were slower than our previous house and the connectivity was intermittent. The service provider came out and said he was getting a gig at the router so nothing was wrong with their service! We bought the Nest router and mesh Wifi and voila! There is peace once again in our home. The installation was so simple, even I could set it up! I recommend this product for anyone on the verge of filing for divorce due to their crappy Internet.

This was an excellent router when it was first released. Google need to update the technology to incorporate wifi6 and wifi6E technology.

Ultra simple setup, great throughput, low latency, great coverage, coverage easily expandable via addition of either more Nest WiFi Mesh Points or Google WiFi Mesh Points.

Incredible wifi reception throughout a 4k sq ft house and they double as great speakers. Big fan!

The Nest Wifi system has serious connectivity issues. Starting a few months ago, almost every day, the system would cause our internet to slow to a crawl or stop working altogether for all the devices in the house. This would sometimes happen multiple times a day, and the only fix we could find was power cycling the router and both access points. Sometimes we have to do this multiple times a day. It’s so frustrating on work video calls and when working on last-minute deliverables while WFH.We tried everything possible: factory resetting all the devices, buying new access points, calling Google support multiple times. We even tried removing all the devices from the network except for 1, but the connectivity issues persisted. After some research, it seems we’re not alone. Multiple outlets have reported on the exact issues (search 9to5google nest wifi issues and Google Nest Community forums).Don’t buy this until Google fixes the connectivity issues. It’s not worth the headache.

Excellent at providing a strong signal from the router, and throughout the house/property using multiple points. Would definitely recommend.

So far, I am on the fence about my Google Nest wifi router. Installation was a bit of a hassle. Thankfully I had my husband home at the time because he’s a lot more tech savvy. We had to try several times to get it right but we eventually got it right. I really enjoy the app that comes with it so you can monitor your wifi and see when there is an issue with easy troubleshooting steps to go through for pretty much any problem. Unfortunately, we have had a hard time keeping the connection, having to unplug and reset multiple times. Then we realized that the problem lied with the power strips it was plugged into. We moved things around and hooked it up through the wall outlet. That was a few hours ago and we haven’t lost service so far. I was hoping that it would extend our signal to where we wouldn’t drop when we went outside. Unfortunately, we still lose signal. They hit the nail on the head with the design of this router. It’s a simple white design. It goes well with our decor.

One of the great things about this is that you have the ability to control your WiFi through your mobile device. This came in handy when I needed to reboot the router for my wife while I was out and about. There is a way to configure “safe” browsing for your kids devices which is another plus. I do wish there was a way to added to the list of block sites and the ability to schedule the blocking of those sites (this would have been extremely useful during the pandemic when my kids were attending online classes). The DNS setting is a little odd. Even if you change it through the app, seems DHCP still uses the router as the DNS but routes the traffic through the DNS you specified?? I’m not entirely sure how it’s working on the backend.Other routers on the market support higher speeds but this will do for the speeds that I currently subscribe to.

This was an upgrade to my home internet that was always on the fritz. It does everything I need more reliably. I love the mesh network. As I realize I could use a touch more internet in my garage for example, just dropped another point and bam! Instant great access! Would and have reccomend it to friends. Easy to sent up, and the built in Google home is a bonus! One down side is the like is on if you mute the mic. Which can be distracting in a dark room at night.

Wi fi keeps dropping the internet connection keeps dropping even though my Netgear does not

I wish it had WiFi6 but the sound and assistant integration, along with excellent speed makes this a good system.

One of our point reads as weak even when placed immediately adjacent to the router. Chatted with Google but after more than a year this problem remains unresolved.

Amazing coverage in our five bedroom home. The signal is much better and stronger than the AT
