The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Our wifi router seems to work great. All devices plugged directly into it get high speed FIOS speeds of 750 MBPS. However, device points often show as off-line (though they are plugged in

This mesh would be better if it did 5ghz also. The nest point doubling as a Google home device is handy but it’s disappointing the router doesn’t do the same. The proprietary Power connector is doodoo. And I wish the nest point had an Ethernet jack so I could connect even more stuff. It feels pricey for what it does and doesn’t do.

I have noticed my internet has been working better and from further away from my router. I love that this item is so smal land compact and easy to hide away. I do love google items and might get more for my network.

I bought the original Google WiFi years ago to help extend coverage in my apartment. So naturally when I moved into a 5-bedroom home, I thought Google’s newest Nest WiFi would be the one to buy. And I was right. I cannot recommend this setup enough.

Unfortunately, the points regularly disconnect or things slow down to a crawl. I have to restart the network every few days.

Works really well, now the whole house is cover with internet.

I have a Nest with two add-on points. Was easy to setup and performance is excellent. Covers 3 floors of house, detached garage and detached boathouse.

On the plus side, it’s very easy to set up.On the negative side, download and upload speed are nowhere near advertised. We get 400 Mbs up and down from our internet service provider (fiber) but only 40 to 80 Mbs from Nest Wifi access points. If you have slow-ish internet and the Google Nest Wifi won’t be the bottleneck, then it’s a good option.

One of the best mesh products out there. If the router doubled as a google home – this would be the best mesh hands down. Ez setup, and speeds are extremely consistent.

I installed the Google Nest system and raised the internet speed throughout my house substantially.

Great product would recommend this to anyone. Even reaches out to an outer garage.

Called tech support and was advised it was broken. Had to buy a new, different one.

Decent performance but not nearly enough granular control options to be a true “router” option. Wemt back to my Asus AC86U and gave my Nest setup to a relative.

The Nest WiFi works great if you just have WiFi devices or slower speed internet. Everything worked great until I upgraded my internet to 1gig speeds then the traffic that was wired kept the router overwhelmed and slowed everything down. If you do not have many wired devices it is a great system.

I’ve generally been a big fan on Google products and how they work seamlessly. These points made me lose faith. They connect for a little bit (few hours) and then they provide no internet to any connected devices. They are connected to the internet because the points can tell me about the weather but they are practically useless for my day to day work.I would not recommend these in the future and am looking for an alternative as we speak.

i am impressed wi th the nest wijfi system. We have a 2500 sq ft house and the system of a router and one point is sufficient to cover all of it. Good system.

I have a large, wide 3-story home. About 6,000 sq. ft. Comcast’s pods were unreliable extenders of their signal. I need to send the signal up and down as well as far left to far right. The Nest router with two access points did the trick. My cameras in the garage (furthest left) always work now. The outside cameras on the deck (farthest right) always work now. Service inside is constant. The main router is in the middle on the 2nd floor. The points are at each end of the main building. The signal is effective in the very large garage and driveway; it’s effective and reliable in the stable. The WiFi system is finally handling the 60 devices on the router without stumbling. Even the teenager with his Xbox Series X is happily streaming on both his phone and laptop while actively gaming. It’s been well worth the $ cost and pain of moving every camera, tv, phone, etc., (reprogramming each device) to the new network.

My prior router had served me well for a number of years from a single location in the garage, but I’d recently started seeing signal drop offs and reconnections; it may have been interference or just too many devices on an aging network.I’m not the best candidate for needing mesh since I’d run ethernet cables for backhaul, but using two nest routers with wired backhaul still fixed my problems perfectly. The only feature I really wish the devices had that’s missing is Wifi 6, for all one device I own that could make use of it. Still extremely happy.

Upgraded from Google wi-fi. A step down in connectivity, a step up in price. Poorer signal strength, almost impossible to get old Google WiFi points to integrate with my system. I’m REALLY disappointed.

Our old WiFi was showing signs of instability. Spotty signal, not very reliable. So we upgraded to Google Nest with one point. It’s more than enough to cover our house (1800 sf). We now have a strong, reliable signal everywhere in the house. And the difference in speed is dramatic.
