The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Price, shipping and setup top notch. One of our furnace is dual source and on the really chilling days and nights it’s seemsLike it does get or keep the house as warm as when heated by the gas source. My only concern is the eco settings it likes to set the heat much lower then we like as we age . It’s ok during the summer. The other nest is in the bedroom on the second floor and it’s a set and leave being that once we come down we are not in the bedroom hardly at all during the day . Our utilities cost have been much lower since installing a very good savings in all a great buy ..

I bought the router and two nodes/points to replace my 3-router Google WiFi mesh network thinking it was better for some reason: it is not. I still get the same coverage (even though it explicitly says it helps you get better/larger coverage than G WiFi), the same download speeds and I’ve had more connection issues than before. Some times the nodes go from Great connection to poor connection without any apparent reason and that has affected some devices’ connectivity in my home. If you add the fact that you don’t have Ethernet ports in the Nest WiFi nodes and cannot do a wired mesh like you have and can do with Google WiFi, I’d recommend Google WiFi over Nest Wifi.

Nest wifi mesh does not support bridged mode like many other venders. I need bridge mode so that my firewall control everything such as dhcp, … On top of that, it does not have a web interface for managing the system. Switched to eero that meets all my requirements.

First, B&H continues to be my number one choice for available photography equipment as well as audio and video. I have also purchased printers and a TV from them. They remain at the top of my list for selling top quality products. I won’t get into the technical aspects of the Google Nest. But, I will say that this product does an excellent job of maintaining a strong signal without any dead zones in my home, so far. Additionally, I did notice a small boost in my download and upload speeds that remains closer to what I am paying for when compared to the router alone provided by my ISP. I pay for 80 mbps download speed and I now have a consistent strong signal for my smartphone plus 3 other smartphones for family members. Additionally, a 4K tv and one other tv are used for streaming services. And, finally, two laptops and a desktop are used by the family for teachimg virtual schooling as well as virtual school meetings. All of these items are used with consistent uninterrupted wifi signal and speed. One other problem area I had prior to purchasing this product was maintaining a good signal without interruptions to one FHD TV and laptop while the microwave was running. With this product I have not had this problem arise. In short, this is a great product that works for me in my home as well as my mother’s home. No issues in either location. And, the set up really is quite simple. One final note. I also use a VoIP service. No signal loss there either.

I’ve been using Nest Mesh Wifi for some time, across several homes and have nothing but good success.

The product works but could use some improvements in the advanced features department. For example it will not work behind pfSense firewall. If bridge mode is enabled, the points and mesh no longer work and you wasted your $ on WiFi points. Google deleted the Ethernet jack from Google wifi and made newer Nest WiFi points with no option of being wired in. The product is great for a simple setup but not so great if you need the ability to add a firewall. Needs ability to enable AP mode.

I have computers, entertainment. Garage door, home doors, thermostat etc on my network. It was so easy to install this unit and tie everything into it. Google Home app and this product was super intuitive and made it easy for me and I am very impatient with tech.

Incredibly easy to set up. And works like a charm. I don’t know if it’s the router or modem but I’m getting 30mbps more than what I’m paying for. I got two nest routers and coverage is great all around. Only thing I want would be another Ethernet port. I hope they keep making these in the future.

So much trouble with this thing! The old Google WiFi worked so well and was so easy to setup, but this was the opposite. The new Google Home app used to set up devices is clunky and not nearly is effective as the old Google WiFi app.Even more frustrating is how poorly the device actually works! Constant slowing of speeds, dropping connections and general poor performance. Attributed much of it to a bad Cat5e cable included. Resolved some more of my issues with custom DNS settings. However, the it still is far from problem free.I’d get an Orbi or an Eero. Stay away from this thing!

I chose the Google Nest Wifi because I believed that Google would produce a very good product that would be dependable and reliable. Unfortunately, that has not been the case, as I lose connection to my wifi network three to five times a day and it is not my wifi service. Very disappointed with this product.

I bought a Nest wifi Mesh system for my home and is super easy to configure and use but although it came with two bands (2.4ghz and 5gzh) it can’t be configure individually (because the system change automatically from both bands) consequently resulting a problem to connect and configure older devices (cameras, printers etc). in my case I was able to install my printers to the wifi but I couldn’t do it with the cameras

So easy to install. My Google home hub recognized it the minute it turned on. Once I named it, it was a piece of cake. No more buffering on my new Android TV. So, so happy with this purchase.

We had recently switched internet providers and the router that was provided was really not cutting it for us. The signal was weak and we were having trouble playing videos because of it. We decided to give this router a try in hopes that it would be better and it is! We no longer have weak signal and videos run smooth.
