The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

I didn’t realize my old router was so outdated. Once I was set up on the Nest router, the difference was instant. The range is quite good and so far the connection seems very stable as well. I’m not a big fan of using the Google Home app exclusively to manage the router– I’m a bit more advanced than the tools provided, but it’s still a pretty solid wifi router.

I bought this to expand my nest wifi system and to also connect my TV with an Ethernet cable rather that just wifi. My TV would occasional drop the wifi connection. No problem now!

The system is very to use and highly compatible with my Google Home devices.

I bought a two pack that works great. Since buying this single to add to the network it has never worked right. Google Home never fully works and now the internet is extremely slow. All diagnostics are reporting as ‘great’ and I have done a factory reset. It could be a bad unit – but there are numerous things wrong as described.

I love my Google Wi-Fi. I bought the router and two access points, which was probably overkill for my house, but when my grandson’s home in the back room with his PlayStation, he doesn’t feel like he’s got good service so I added the other point. The speed test are amazing upload and download. I’m getting so much better speed than I ever thought that I would or ever expected. When I run the mesh test for the three they’re all working together very well. I have been cussing my cable company for four or five years, so imagine my surprise when I gave them back their stupid box, bought one that was recommended by them and added my Google router and access points, and found that I have absolutely nothing to complain about anymore! What a shock! Great job Google 🙂

I upgraded to the Nest Wifi Mesh Router (4 routers, 1 point) system from Netgear Orbi (1 router, 2 satellites) because the Orbi signal was not reaching all the way to through my new, bigger home and outside cameras. My new setup has drastically improved everything! The 5 Nest units were less expensive than if I exchanged out the old Orbi for their new system.

if i could add one option to the each unit would be a lan connection for wired connections.

2 point does not give you extra range at my home. Google WIFI app was great, however, now the app is converted to the Google Home app and some of the functionality is nolonger available. Can’t get VPN blocker with Google Nest. Only one alternative Ethernet output available.

Using Nest Wifi with Google Wifi already had. Works well but coverage is just adequate with Nest router, 3 wifi routers as access points, one nest router access point and one nest point for 3500 sq ft house and outside. Speed of router appears limited. With increased band width available may need to go to different system

We moved to a rural area where fiber is not available. The only option is DSL at 3 Mbsp download (we just left a big city where we had 80!). My husband did some research and we tried it. I can successfully stream video via the Google mesh network!

Wow. I work in IT and typically expecting things to always be more complicated when they says its “easy”. But this was actually easy. The Google Home app walks you through everything you need to do. There’s very little intervention on your end, the app and software do everything. I love all the monitoring features that Google App gives you for Wifi settings. I also really like that the Point serves as a speaker. The point is in the bedroom so I just replaced the Google Mini and placed the Point there. Its so clean. Everything about this Google Wifi is perfect. Been using it for a full week and everything is working good. Signal strength has improved so much for my wireless devices.

I purchased two of these for the increased range. I purchased the routers instead of one router and one point because the routers DON’T have a microphone or speaker. Overall they are simple to set up and manage. I would like to see more granular tuning and reporting. The overall performance is excellent.

Moved into a new home and just had my netgear running my wifi, which is located in the basement. One night upstairs in the living room my speed test showed only 2 down and barely 1 up. I said enough of that and bought the Google Nest Wifi. I turned off my wifi on my router and set up the Google Nest Wifi. After getting everything set up wit the Google router (basement) and one point(Living room), my last test was 200 down and 20 up.

Purchased a Router/Point back in December as per Google recommendations saying this would cover my 2000 square feet. Keep in mind I already had two of the old google wifi points. This was not enough and my connections kept dropping. Purchased and additional point, and now the connection is better but not the best!

Easily integrated into my Google Home smart home system, is easy to manage and trouble shoot, and seems to have resolved all of our deadspot issues with high speed wireless internet connections throughout our 3000 SF home. I purchased one router and two points.

My family was trying to cut the cord and get rid of cable to save money. Replacing our existing router was easy and seamless. Now we have much faster wireless throughout our house and we are using it more than before.. Even gave some more life to my old PS4. Great product for a reasonable price.
