The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

If you’re looking for a user friendly mesh system then this is it. Great coverage and easy for anyone to set up. So far, reliability is great. The only thing I would suggest adding is the ability to designate which frequency you want to use if you’re setting up connected devices. I have a few devices that only work on 2.4 GHz. I had to unplug the Nest WiFi devices and use my phone’s hotspot to mimick the home network while broadcasting only on the 2.4 GHz frequency then I had to connect the device. Once connected, I disabled my phone’s hotspot and plugged my Nest WiFi devices back in and then everything worked. It was an inconvenience for me but I know it would cause significant headaches for many users out there looking for something like the Nest WiFi. As smart as these are and their connected devices, they still need some heavy user assistance at times

We have 4 nest wifi routers and point. Even the app says connection is good with mesh. They continue drop out from mesh network and not reconnect. It also lack of diagnostics function in the app and not giving the reason why it drop out.

I bought this WiFi system for our house to ensure we have connectivity throughout our 3,200 sq ft house. My wife and I conduct telehealth and Zoom training sessions from our home office. The set up was easy. The speeds with our internet provider, Spectrum 400Mbps, are faster than expected. We range between 455-469Mbps.I haven’t played with any of the other features on this system but am happy with the quality of the internet service provided and highly recommend it.

I have the nest and two nest points. They worked intermittently. Now, not at all. My case has been “escalated,” after hours of working with someone at Google. It is not compatible with my Cox router, as I was led to believe. I have hope we may get things working, but it won’t be without a lot of anguish.

I love my new nest Wi-Fi. I was having buffering issues with so many devices connected to my spectrum Wi-Fi box. Now everything runs smoothly and I have had no issues since installing.

Was working well, then all of a sudden the router loses connection to all the other hubs. Have to constantly restart.

Really happy with my new nest wifi system. I had a TP link range extender for about 2 years, it did the job but there were still parts of my house that had spotty wifi and since I’ve been adding more smart devices to my home, it just wasnt able to sustain a reliable fast connection. Since I’ve gotten my nest wifi I haven’t had dropped wifi coverage yet and all my devices are connected. If there were hiccups with connections it was on the devices end, not the wifi. So I’d say I’m satisfied and hope it can keep up with my growing demand for years to come

Works much better than the single Netgear router I had. The coverage throughout the house is excellent. No drops and all devices connected without an issue. Very pleased with this purchase!

The Google nest wifi is very simple to set up. The Google home app walks you through set up and lets you know if there is an issue. In my case, my internet provider had not updated my modem settings. The set up app let me know that there was no internet connection and to call my provider. After that was resolved the WiFi was easily set up and the WiFi points were just as simple. The whole system can be set up in 30 minutes. The coverage of my house is great. It’s an old 1800s city home. The mesh system penetrates the walls and provides excellent coverage. I would recommend this mesh system.

Bought this to replace the google hub that will loose google update support at the end of this year. I was able to remove a WiFi booster in the basement as the nest covers the whole house

Initially and overall I have enjoyed the Nest WiFi, however recently it seems to be dropping out frequently even though the internet coming into the house is connected. This is both disappointing and a source of frustration. It affects wifi throughout the house, music playback, and other connectivity issues.

This is an excellent Wifi with excellent range. Somewhat tricky to set up and if the system ever goes down; the Google customer service representatives were very helpful in restoring service.

Our Nest wifi started off great – we have a main and two additional locations. But lately I have had to reset and the various devices go offline for no reason even when the internet provider (Verizon) delivers as promised. I cannot find any other solution than to unplug and plug again – and if one of the devices goes offline, then the overall mesh slows. The additional problem is that our Nest camera is connected to this wifi so if it goes down and we are away the problem amplifies

I was having trouble with getting a good connection in the upstairs of my home, my son in NY had the google nest WIFI and it worked very good , so I figured I’d give it a try! I bought it and it’s way better than what I had! this system was up and running in less than an hour. It took longer for me to go out and purchase it! I recommend it for a multi-level house.

I had a router from a major NJ cable company that gave average to poor coverage to a small (1500 sq ft) home. I used an extender for years but it didn’t give adequate coverage to my deck to stream vi9deos without lags and hangs. Plus there was the issue of having to manually switch to the extender and back to the main point. In less than 30 minutes I had replaced and set up the Nest Router and two access points. With the Nest mesh network, I now have full wifi coverage inside and outside my home and stream 4k videos with no buffering delays.

These work really well, but they are not cheap. The setup is quick and painless, and the more advanced routing features are handled well. It would be nice if I could use the Nest router as an L2TP endpoint, however. That’s the only functionality that would prevent me from issuing one of these to everyone who works remotely.
