The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Highly recommend. Gives me download and upload speeds. Tracks connected devices. Allows for a guest password. Can control when children, or in my case grandchildren, can be online.

I have had to reset the entire house 3 times now. I love the concept but the system has so many bugs that it hardly seems right Google charges a fortune for the products. It is great that the have mesh but half the time I do a test and it shows a weak signal and immediately after I run it again and it is strong signal. Something clearly not right. Hopefully Google will actually put the time in to make this truly seamless or I will need to look at a competitor.

Not reliable at all with intermittent disconnects across random devices everywhere. Save your money and go with another brand instead. Not sure why – seriously disappointed with this.

Easy setup. Coverage is great. The only disappointing thing so far is the lack of advanced configuration features. Specifically, the inability to have multiple port forward settings for a single IP. This is a common need for NAS as an example where HTTP and HTTPS traffic is split.

We got this device to boost our Wi-Fi at home. This has been the best router we have ever had. It has boosted our speeds tremendously. We can now all be streaming, gaming, or just playing on the internet and there are no problems at all. The best feature is the ability to monitor who is on and to keep kids’ usage to the levels we want. This is a must have for all homes with kids.

Bought this to add in to my existing google wifi 3 pack. It made a significant difference in speed from that router and because it was compatible with the google wifi system it significantly increased the range as well. Important to note though. Fastest speed only comes from Nest router not the google wifi ones. You will need to redo first time setup for all wifi routers when creating a hybrid nest and google wifi system. This took about an hour for me because I forgot to reset one of the google wifi routers and was having trouble connecting it.

We live in a townhouse, and using the default router that came with our ISP, we used to have bad coverage in certain areas of the house. Putting this next to the existing router, the wifi-coverage is amazing and reliable. Definitely recommend the product.

The mesh was meant to be an upgrade for the router and overall Wi-Fi. I have Fios Gigabit connection so the router on its own did improve the range, but did lose around 20-30mbps capacity. After adding a switch to add additional ethernet ports to the router, there was a small drop (~5mbps) from the router, but that was to be expected. The speed dropped at the router was not a significant impact. The issues are with the mesh connectivity. When it works, it works great. But there are continuous issues with the mesh dropping devices that are connected to it. When conducting a mesh test, the Google Home app will only say “Great Connection” or “No Connection” there is no actual degree of certainty or of practical use. I have to periodically reboot the router/mesh to resolve this which is an inconvenience. There is also an issue with Wi-Fi calling where there is no clarity or audio in/out. This issue was only present once updating to the Google Nest Wi-Fi router and point.

Purchased this to upgrade from our three year old Google Wifi system. Coverage is supposed to be more powerful than previous version, but that does not appear to be the case for us. We now have a total of seven routers/access point to get coverage to 3500 sq/ft home. Have had to completely reset system twice in two months because of poor connection, and would not come back online after power cycle. One wifi point/smart speaker just never stays connected longer than a day.When it works, it’s great though!

I have the base and the extender. For the most part I am very satisfied. The only issue I have seen is that once in a while I will lose internet access. The modem is still online and working but the internet connection put out just drops. Sometimes it will come back in a matter of a min or two but if not then I have to cycle the base only and it comes back up. I use it with about 30 devices in my home including 2 Chromecast Ultra’s and a Chromecast with Google TV. All 3 are used as access points for Stadia running at the 4K setting while still streaming video on another TV and two laptops and a Switch gaming…Helps to also have the 1gbps speeds….If the connection didn’t drop once in a while I would say it was perfect,

What a great mesh network! I will say upfront that it took much longer to get this operational than most people experience. Just some issues unique to my internet provider. But Google phone support was great and got all of the issues addressed. Went with Google Nest after doing a lot of research, talking with a couple of friends and the local store where I made my purchase. Got the router and two points AC2200 because of coverage needs. 3/4 acre lot, detached shop, two story home with full attic and there’s not one place that is not covered. Speeds are crazy fast. Have 1G service and never seen speeds as I now have.Really like all the many ways of operating the points together or separately. Nice to have a guest wifi sign-in. Exceedingly happy with my network.
