The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

I had this hooked up for a few days with gig service. I would only receive about 1-200 Mbps download speeds on my laptop which is the same desk as my router. I called support, who had me provision my modem, before telling me that there was definitely a problem with my unit and they would have to escalate the case. No biggie. I waited a week for any sort of response, and when I finally did hear back, the only thing they could tell me was to provision my modem- which I had already done. I returned the unit and upgraded to a Netgear Orbi, and have been happy since.

I have been looking for ways to increase my wifi speed around my house. My cousin had a Nest Wifi and recommended it, so I gave it a try. It was just what I needed, the wifi speeds around my while house is amazingly fast now.

Hi there, I have a 2000 sqft house with no Wi-Fi interference issues either from building construction or congested 2.4/5GHz bands. I was running a Netgear Nighthawk router before but wanted better coverage for the garage. The Nest has been somewhat of a disappointment to me in that speeds in my bedroom are very slow to my phone and the Nest thinks that mesh coverage is excellent. The speed from the primary point is also excellent to the modem. The dummy proof interface is frustrating in its lack of diagnostic function and there do not seem to be good logs to speak of to really troubleshoot issues. I have three points but am somehow getting worse speeds than with the single Nighthawk. Overall a disappointment.

Router worked well for 3 weeks then one day the power supply died on one of the hubs. I reached out to Google directly and they stated B&H is an un authorized retailer and they cannot honor their warranty. Ridiculous. I don’t fault B&H for this, obviously Google is petty and wont stand by their own product. I am returning this wifi and finding something more reliable.

Unboxing this product was simple enough and the packaging was pleasant. The initial setup was really easy which is nice for people who are not technically savvy. But upon using it over an extended period of time I wish I would have chose a different product. The main router part of the setup works like a charm and I have no issues with it but I am constantly having issues with the point that is supposed to give my home better coverage. The point is constantly dropping connections to my devices and I have to reboot it almost every other day. I have worked with support and they assured me that everything was operating just fine. To try and remedy this I have factory reset the entire WiFi unit (router and point) and set them back up but the issues persist. I am about done with it and will most likely be replacing it with a product that works properly.

So far so good. I have the Nest router and 2 points in my home. Probably more than I need but it gives me great coverage where I didn’t have it before. I’ve only had the system up for 3 weeks now. It was easy to set up and it’s easy to manage through the Google home app.

Purchased extra nodes constant disconnects. Have 3 routers and 3 points for a 5000sqft home. Constantly disconnects. I’ve tried moving points/routers multiple times. Pretty disappointed for the price

In there beginning these were fine. I had 5 routers in a 3000 sq ft home. Would drop so often and just have no signal at all. The modern was done if I had wired my computer to it. Had to go on the system and day I was moving it and then it would work for sometime although I never moved it.Finally bought an Eero 6 system with 2 routers and 3 points and a world of difference.Sorry Google you lost this one.

No dynamic DNS option. Mesh is not as effective as hoped. Range for 4 units (router and 3 wifi) is dissapointing. Options to control channels and other simple settings are nonexistent, let alone advanced options. Have had to factory reset the full system to make them work again.

After getting it set up which admittedly took more attempts than it should have (3) it seems to be working quite flawlessly. I have since added to my “smart” home and have had zero additional issues.

I have had the nest mesh for over a year and have had no significant problems. I bought a new Motorola modem at the same time and they work very well together. I never had a problem with the firmware updates, though I understand there were some who did. I have been extremely happy with this system and the Wi-Fi coverage is significantly better than what I was getting when I rented equipment from Xfinity. I have zero dead spots in my home with the router and one access point! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good all around mesh system at a reasonable price point.

I upgraded from an old Google Wifi set to this new Nest one and at least once a day my whole network goes offline, for long periods of time too, not just a minute, very frustrating because I am not on site always to hard reset everything and my security relies on the wifi, can’t recommend this system at all

The google nest wifi router was exceptionally easy to setup with the google cellular app. the two points setup also went smoothly. afterwards excellent wifi field through out the house. Was also able to add Google Mini to the network via the app easily.

I upgraded my current Google Wifi network with the next generation Nest Wifi and Point. While I was really please with Google Wifi getting Nest has taken my network to next level in speed, connectivity and easeness of use. We have over 30 devices connected from laptops to tablets, phones to appliances, all work without a glitch and we could not be happier.Setting up network was really easy using Google Home application which provides me opportunity to prioritize internet access to specific devices, set up usage time for family and even set up guest network in home in a blink of an eye. Overall we are all really pleased
