The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

This is my first mesh wifi so I can’t compare it to anything. I do like the hub acting as a nest mini.

I couldn’t be happier. Went from 7 MBPS to over 200 MBPS with Nest WIFI. I’m really happy that I listened to my friend who recommended this.

The router was easy to set up. The WiFi is reliable and works well all over the house. And they have Google assistant built in, and are pretty good speakers, too. I’ve had them about a year or more.

Overall Nest has been an amazing improvement to our ability to access wifi. We have a router and 3 points, one point is located in a guest cottage which we use as an Airbnb. Starting mid-August 2021, we have experienced the router going off line every 7-10 days. After a recent episode, following multiple failed restart efforts, and a factory reset, I called the Nest customer service (who by the way are wonderful). CS spent 90 minutes helping restore wifi and since then have experienced a further episode of having to restart the router. My plan is to call CS again to discuss causes and seek a long-term resolution. Although I have had this recent problem, I believe the product is worth 5 stars.

We bought this Nest to replacement to an older ASUS router. With the extender, it has been great! Previously WiFi dropped at certain parts but no longer! The only downside is that there is no manual way to choose between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz when connecting certain devices (i.e. – smart lights). Otherwise, I greatly enjoy the product. Hopefully there will be a new release down the road that allows this compatibility/function!

I have liked this system. We recently moved to a new house, and had to add a third point. Very simple to set up and manage. During the day, my wife’s work computer is set to priority, and at night my gaming computer is set to priority. Super easy to use.

I’ve had numerous routers over the past 20-years, and Google WiFi is by far the best. The easy setup

I never had a problem with my Nest cameras with my Netgear router. With Nest WiFi, I’m seeing my cameras going offline randomly every few days.

I installed this wifi router to cover my entire 3 stories house and connected all the smart equipment Nest Camera, nest Guard, nest hub, hub max, smart light etc for smart home, every equipment connection is so good so far and no disconnect at all, even any place of my house download speed over 200 mb.I definitely recommend this product, ( My house is 2,200 sqf)

Extremely reliable but speed drops off quickly over distance. I wish the nodes supported wired backhaul for a house like mine that’s configured for a LAN. But even with the speed drop off, my internet experience is faster than my old router that clocked at higher speeds sooooo

It is a nice compact unit and easy to set up once you trick your phone into believing it has network connection. I do not have cell service at my home without using cell voice over internet. So It would be great if you could just use a browser set up with a LAN to do the programming. I think this works better than my Orbi though. The other problem is you have only one ethernet port. I had to purchase a multi port switch to use my non wireless equipment.

Finally! My house has wall to wall wifi. In the garage? Great connection. On the back patio? Great connection. I love the added perk of having a Google assistant on each wifi point. And it’s so easy setting these up and adding more if I need to (not that I need to).

I was a little hesitant to get this package, but I’m thrilled that we did. We have a large house and got the router plus 3 WiFi points as part of a sale package. Installation was a snap. Plugged the router into our provider’s device and within about a minute the router was up and running (just check with your provider first if you need to manually enter any settings). Then one by one, we added the 3 points around the house. Again, within about a minute each was up and running. Each had to do a firmware update (automatic), so they rebooted but were fully running in less than 5 minutes.Everything is controlled through the Google Home App. For non-techies once you add it, you’re pretty much done. For the techies, you can assign IPs to devices, change device names, set parental controls, schedule access times per device, etc. It runs an internet and mesh test every few days, and you can see all real-time access / usage in an intuitive display. Overall a great product!

I’ve had to rest my wifi points every so often to get them to recognize my account, which is annoying. Otherwise, I’ve been happy with the coverage, reliability and connectivity.

Sometimes the POINTS and/or ROUTER requires “factory reset” often. NOT reliable as my cheap Linksys single node router that lasted reliably for over 6 years. I’ve heard Netgear

The Nest WiFi router and points have been absolutely amazing! The setup was super easy and now I have great signal throughout my entire house. Unlike the countless other routers and extenders I’ve owned, I never have to manually reboot the devices or deal with complicated network management. A nice bonus is the wonderful sound quality on each device for playing music, especially during the holidays.I know that this WiFi solution is a bit more expensive than other brands but it’s worth every dollar. If you’re struggling with WiFi setup, maintenance, or signal, then you should try this product.

I enjoy having the Nest Wifi. With the smart speaker, it has really been useful. I use it for timers, weather, simple questions, listening to music, and news. It is way more helpful (it works) than Alexa and more detailed than Siri.

I would say the mesh wifi system is some what okay i thought it was going to be more impressive as far as how many devices it can handle. The features i hoped i would have more such as pausing wifi access for certain devices for an amount of time, it only lets you schedule the pausing and not set a time limit. Overall the coverage is okay hoped the one router would be able to cover the wholw house but quickly found out i need another one and even then the coverage is spotty outside. The price was a bit high given all the features the mesh wifi system is missing.
