The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Sometimes the firmware updates can get flaky at times. I’ve encountered some bugs that causes latency increases or enabling guest network can cause wifi shutdown etc. I understand these may be corner cases that can’t be caught by basic QA, but it gets frustrating, especially when other router brands doesn’t seem to cause these types of problems. If you can get over it, it’s not a bad router, especially since I have more faith in Google providing more consistent security updates compared to other competititors

I used to use a 4years old single router dplink 8x. I moved to a town house that has 3 floors. The signal of third floor was very weak. So I replaced the router with the nest. But it is very little bit better than before. I little bit regret now. Even, nest router is discount now. T.T

We only use 25mbps and while we get a signal from the router and point all throughout the house the speeds drop in some spots to 2-6mbps. If you have 100 it should be great because it does have a great signal and a loss at range will not be an issue.

Lose nodes for no reason. I have a big house and find that more than three nodes does not work well.

Everyone is working and schooling from home. It’s nice to have the control over devices accessing the WiFi. I also noticed a significant improvement in streaming to our smart TVs with this router installed. Easy to install right out of the box with no issues and I wouldn’t consider myself a computer programmer or engineer. Worthwhile investment and highly recommend for those of us needing “a boost” of what service comes into our home.

When you make a product that dies in the middle of the work day and takes 3 hours to get back online for absolutely no reason it is completely useless to me. No it wasn’t my internet connection that you made me waste and entire hour calling to see if there was a problem with.

I have a 4000sq ft home. I have the wifi and two points. If they aren’t within 20 feet of the wifi, they’re spotty and the points need restarted.

All my devices won’t allow me to turn them on. It just keeps asking me to log into my account. We can’t log in so we have to do a factory restart and go through that process. Like the devices but hate the work they keep making me go through.

Great WIFI add to our home. Be aware the Hub unit is not a speaker unit as the points are, you may want to add a speaker where the hub is located if it is in a living space as ours is.

This is my first use of the Google mesh product. This product deserves 5 star rating however what I experienced is the base is having a lot higher speed compared to the nest points. If I get about 600 speed at the base the points are only getting like 170 speed. The coverage range is also decent.
