The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Google Nest WiFi is fantastic! I have zero issues with it. I get the dependable connectivity I expect and speeds I pay for. The only downfall is having only 1 Ethernet port, but with a switch that’s very easily fixed. Hopefully down the road Google comes out with modems too. I give it 4/5 stars because there’s always room for improvement – nothing should be considered perfect.

Was worried that I was going to have double NAT issues with my xbox and would have to make a tradeoff with FIOS TV functionality since I have a wireless set-top TV box. Everything works fine with no hacking required. Fiber goes directly into google router and FIOS router is connected to that via ethernet with wireless turned off. Wireless access points are set around the house covering dead spots. No issues and everything is faster than the FIOS router.

This product is overall good. In my area of southern California I’ve had some issues with it staying connected to certain routers.the WiFi drops a bit more than I’d like. I’ve had to on numerous occasions reset the entire network and reconnect all three points. This is my specific use case. At my significant others house we legit have never had a dropped connection or bad signal in a 2 story house. Your milage may vary. I’d say give it a shot.

I decided to finally pick up the Google Nest Wifi, with one point, as my wifi had been consistently weak. I live in a one bedroom apt – the addition of the nest router and point has greatly improved my speed. I went from about 45mbps down to 500 mbps down. My only regret, not doing it sooner

Yea I set this up in the house and it’s a BMF mane. I gets copper speeds upstairs mane… The access points double as mics and speakers so I can control thangs all over my house mane, even jam the flock out like they do in the department stores, mane. You gotta take a dump?? and don’t want to miss the next lyric of yo song mane.. set up a speaker group and viola walaa mane!Unbelievable speeds throughout the mesh mane!

Wifi mesh is not stable. I had experience drop signal from mesh AP. Plus I had to perform factory reset with unknown reason. If this is the situation then I ratter plug wire for AP device but not with nest WIFI because nest wifi doesnt support mesh with wire.

Ok, the title says it all. I’ve used the Google wifi since it came out many eons ago, but recently upgraded to the latest version. The old one was working great except for one unit…I thought..so I bought a few more to extend and replace the faulty one. Turns out the faulty one wasn’t faulty, I was, so now I’ve really got these things placed all over the place and getting absolutely great performance. I’m sitting outside in my backyard now, about 40-50 feet from the nearest unit in the house, and getting 50Mbps. These have always been reliable, and fast.

Started off working quite well, no problems, strong wifi signal, easy to manage app, etc.However, experiencing two recurring issues:1. Power cycling results in the router losing the internet connection. Only solution seems to factory reset the router all over again.2. Drops connection for no reason, out of the blue. Has been happening every few weeks in the last few weeks.

The setup of mesh network is really easy and the app is very nice.The main router works pretty flawlessly, but the endpoints disconnect at least once or twice a day. When working I get a strong stream across the mesh network. When they fail, I have to often unplug them.I have checked the wifi channels and I have no interference from other networks. I’ve factory reset the mesh network and run a lot of performance tests. I’ve even made sure I have line of sight and adequate distance between endpoints and the router.At this point I am disappointed with the product and wouldn’t recommend it.

Nest Mesh network is superb! We have the router with two additional mesh routers and we have full speed wifi throughout the house! Thick concrete walls cant stop the power of this bad-boy! We love the google home integration and love the added speakers into the mesh routers! Just wish the main router also had a speaker!
