The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

No support was much better with nest. Google nest home app is horrible compared to Alexa

This technology is far above expectations. Blazing fast and extremely easy to install. Best of all, their tech support team is fabulous… very responsive, very smart and very professional. Highly recommend!

Switch from the Samsung hubs that I’ve had for 2 years to these because I am a huge Google fan. Unfortunately within the week I had it had constant drops of cameras throughout my house which are nest also. Which I thought was odd? So I switch back to the Samsung hubs and no more problems with dropping of the cameras or anything else throughout the house..

The setup process is easy and simple. The huge downside is that the wifi point is cutting my actual internet speed about 65%.If I’m connected to the router, I’m getting the full speed of my internet, if I’m reconnecting to the point, even if I’m physically located in the same room where I was a second ago, the speed will cut at least 3 times.Huge downside. So, for testing purposes, I put the router and point in the same room.Connected to the router = full internet speed.Keep staying in the same spot, just reconnecting to the point, speed cut 3 times. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Great wifi device. Easy set up and easy to link to all related Google devices.

My WIFI connection seems more reliable and responsive. The old WIFI router was part of Cable Modem and Router, which was seven years old. Chromecast would loose connection with some apps and sometime the apps could not successfully cast. I was hoping the Google WIFI router would solve this problem. Although an app may still sometimes fail to cast, retrying works and I am definitely pleased with the reliability and responsiveness. Long “loading” pauses have been eliminated. One thing I did not realize was that the Google WIFI router requires a separate cable modem connected to the internet. I am using my old cable modem with its router disabled. The Google WIFI Router connects to the cable modem by a short ethernet cable.

I installed google nest WiFi due to on going issues with the XFINITY gateway and streaming. Once installed, I had no issues with streaming. I highly recommend.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the range of this Google Nest Wifi Router. We have a 2400 sq ft home and our last router didnt send out a strong enough signal to reach the other side of the house but this router does amazing! It was super easy to set up and start using!

I recently purchased Nest Wifi Router/Point combo for my small 50’s ranch home of 1,855 sq ft. I quickly discovered that regardless of how strategically placed, they did not provide sufficient WiFi signal for my devices, which include outdoor Nest cameras around the perimeter. Cameras showed weak signal and disconnect frequently. Also, my Airbnb guests complained about freezing and lagging on conference calls. Long story short, I now have a total of 3 points carefully placed to resolve most of the issue, although a few Nest cameras still show a weak signal but seem to perform okay. Bottom line: disappointing performance, especially considering I went all-in on Google Home this year (Google TV, mini’s, speaker sets, cameras, Nest/Yale locks, etc.). If I could start over for the WiFi piece, I would simply update my Orbi to a newer version with mesh capability. My previous Orbi covered the entire area comfortably, using a base station and a single satellite.

When I bought my Google Nest from last year, I was very ecstatic about how much my streaming and online video games’ speed was improved as opposed to when I didn’t own a Nest. However, as of almost two weeks ago, my Nest has been having incredibly slow internet, and it would disconnect from my router from time to time. I have looked online to see if many people have had the same problem and I don’t think too many have. I am inclined to believe that I did not do anything specific to alter my internet performance. I just woke up one morning, logged on my laptop, and started having these issues. May I have some help?

As per documentation, router 2 mesh should be enough for 3k sqft house but it’s totally wrong. Now I have expanded to 1 router 4 mesh which increases the range but because it tries to prioritize, it keeps disconnecting very frequently.

Easiest router to use, period. It is one of those, set it and forget it, type items. Setup took 3 minutes and our internet has been much more reliable since we started using it. Great purchase, and definitely worth the money. We have so many things on it and it works great if you are looking around this is the way to go we are so glad we did.

I purchased a 2 pack to help with connection in a brick home built ~ 1950s. Less than one month in and I am unable to complete tasks for everyday living.

My Nest Wifi Router bought on Dec 14, 2019, failed around May 20th. After numerous resets and reconnections and still having it randomly restart and lose connection over the course of a week, I reverted back to the Google Wifi Mesh which is still working and had been used to expand my Nest mesh system before. I would recommend that nobody get a Nest Wifi Router and will steer away from the brand from now on. It is slower than most systems and way too many people are experiencing the same problems… maybe from your latest updates.

I love the small design of the router, it doesn’t take up a lot of space. The small size packs a good amount of range. The wifi reaches from one end of my house to the other. There is only one ethernet socket, it’s a good thing that I didn’t need more than one.

This is not only a beautiful looking piece it works great!. I have had netgear, optimum, Verizon, routers they are all 1) bulky 2) i have no where to put the because of the shape, and 3 the setup is less than friendly. This one, Was none of the above, Its easy to setup, maintain and place in plain site, no need to hide it. this way its accessible.

For the price they should work a lot better. My phone connects via WiFi and holds onto a bad signal as I move away from one of my nest wifi routers and won’t switch over to the best signal. I have many positioned around my house and started having problems when I added see more. Now I find out that I’m only supposed to have a total of 5. That should be stated in the packaging. I extend wifi out to multiple garages and my house so I need more.

Works as advertised! Easy set up, easy use, just plain easy. The app can be simplified but it’s not too bad either.

I have tried Netgear among several other routers. None have been able to handle all the devices in my household (over 20). Not only does the Google Nest handle all the devices, their connectivity is faster and stronger. I bought a second one and really didn’t need it. LOVE IT. No more wifi connection problems in my household!!!
