The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

This was so simple. It basically sets up itself. Once we plugged it in, the app goes through everything. The signal is strong and the speeds are fast. The design is sleek and looks great on our entertainment center. We were able to get this to work with all our smart products very very easily as well. All we did was name the network the same with the same password and everything transferred right over. Awesome.

GOOD: Simple design, mesh is great, integrated mic/speakers in points is cool, App controls simple and great, Guest network ready. CONS: Would be great if there was an integrated modem so we don’t have to buy separately (outlet space gets tight with all these devices!). On that note, why is the new trend seem to be making plugs that take up 2 or 3 spaces on a standard surge protector??? Make smaller plugs please! Would be nice to have a few networking (CAT5) ports on the router, and if possible maybe on the points? Had to buy an additional switch, which is more $, more power plugs, more wire management, etc. Smart home people like me have other devices that need to be plugged directly into the router like lighting hubs (Philips Hue, Lutron, other smart home hubs, etc). Lastly, the power cords could be a bit longer please. Just seemed like I had to stretch as much as possible every time to get it to reach the power strip or outlet. Call it 3.8 stars. =)

Replaced my old router with Google Nest wifi router because our old router kept dropping. It was an easy set up, you use the Google home app on your phone. It covers over 2,000 feet which is more than enough for my house. It is fast and my wifi is consistent now and doesn’t drop out anymore. I love that it has parental controls and I can pause wifi on specific devices!!

I have never had a better internet wifi router. Literally doubled my internet speed in parts of my house.

Living in an older home, we have always had issues with the WiFi signal. We tried different carriers and nothing mad a difference. We recently got this Google Nest and I cannot believe the difference in our signal. The TV streaming does not go out. We can each be using our own devices and not have any issues with connectivity. I highly recommend this product for your home.

My old wifi router was a Velop system and I was constantly having issues with zoom during work meetings. I tried everything from moving nodes around and restarting the system all the way to a factory reset. It may have helped for a week or two but next thing I knew I was right back to stuttering video and sounding like a robot. The Nest wifi had completely gotten rid of that. Since having it for about a month now, I haven’t had a single zoom issue. I did have one weird situation with my smart home once, but a simple restart of the wifi from the Google home app cleared it up in literally less than a minute. My old system would have take at least 5 minutes to reconnect everything back up, and even then the second node wouldn’t always re-pair. I was nervous to spend this much on a router but it was worth every penny. My whole home’s coverage is excellent and so is the speed and consistency.

Installation of the two units was easy. System works great.

I bought my first Nest Wifi system (with only one remote speaker wi-fi point) a year ago. While it provided complete Wifi coverage of my 1,800 sq ft ranch-style home, I wanted more of the remote speakers, so rather than buying two additional speakers, I bought a new system with two remote points (and used everything but the new router). (I’ll keep it as a spare, but doubt I will ever need it). Moral of the story? Buy a bigger bundle than you think you will need — you won’t regret it.

I love this system. It blankets my whole residence and is extremely easy to hook up. Love the fact that I can assign up to. 200 devices to the mesh.

good product, but needs a 2nd LAN port, so a wired system can be added.

Upgraded service at home to 500Mb fiber but the old Google Wi-Fi did not handle the additional throughput so upgraded the mesh solution to new Nest. Yes cheaper solutions are available but I have confidence in Google’s equipment and continued patch management. Plus I applaud Google for the decision to move manufacturing out of China to Taiwan. Amazes me that other companies are not doing the same thing or that Americans are still buying China products when options are available.

It seems I didn’t do my research to find out that the Nest WiFi router will randomly disconnect from the Internet uplink, although modem doesn’t go down, while this remaining a problem with no fix in sight for months. Returning to where I purchased to get the older Google WiFi model, that doesn’t report issues.

Satisfied, good wifi connections with mesh system, and Google Assistant is a convenient plus. Interfaces nicely with music providers. And, easy set-up.

We moved to Kingwood a little over one year ago and had inconsistent and frustrating WiFi service with the one provider available to us. My son and son-in-law had both recommended the Google nest WiFi and I finally listened. The inconsistent WiFi signal was remedied and, in my elation, we got some other products that we could manage with the Nest. And they’ve worked as well. Thanks, Sons, for your wise recos to your slow-to-listen father.

Got two nest access points and it’s WAY better. Full coverage even in the basement. The instructions were terrible though. Ended up figuring out the details by googling the issues.Google assistant is not always the greatest.Don’t need verbal feedback every single time I turn the lights or TV on or off. Should have a way to set it so it only responds to direct questions rather than all commands. Setting up speaker groups is quick but they often don’t work/connect as they should.

Since we switched to the Nest wifi from our cable company’s modem/router we’ve had no drops in our home wifi. Connection remains stable, and it’s blazing fast.

Is a great plug and play router. Works well and is easy to use. Not overly customizable, or complex, but great for basic users who just want solid wifi throughout their home. Handles a regular sized home pretty well but you can add an extender if yours is bigger
