The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

I like the idea of what google and nest are going for with the WiFi . The hardware or software needs much more work especially for use in a workplace. We have switched to Meraki Go by Cisco which was a much better price and worked flawlessly out of the box with much less setup. Our 3 Google nest routers will make beautiful door stops.

I have 1 nest router with 2 nest points and 1 google wifi point connected as a mesh network in a small frame house. I’ve always had great mesh connectivity until a month or so ago when all of a sudden I had weak mesh connectivity. No point is more than 40′ from the router, and no more than 20′ from the closest other point. I’ve done multiple factory resets along with posting on the nest help site, with no success in fixing my connectivity.

Excellent product, great coverage, app and hardware. Simple to setup and extend. I have them at both of my residences and am very happy with the coverage, the speed and simplicity of managing both my networks remotely from my app. In addition they each have close to 15 devices connected at any given time with no loss of speed.

Could’ve been a great product, however every firmware update make it worse. Connection speed decreases over time. After last update wifi points intermittently go offline.

I used to have a single router that was provided by my ISP, but having a second floor and with so many devices connected at once, the devices that were furthest away often had lag and connectivity problems. Since I got the Nest Router and a point which went upstairs and also added another google assistant to my arsenal, my connection has been totally seamless with no issues or interruptions like I used to. Totally recommend this product. Very happy with it!

I bought the Nest to expand my older Google WiFi mesh. It was seamless. Having Google Assistant coupled with the node is a nice upgrade. I did have some trouble setting up the expansion but this was self-inflicted. Since the Nest has a different router, a new network must be started. You can’t reassign the router node to an existing network. It is a big advantage to have one system and the integrating with Google Home is the best

I bought this hoping to get better coverage in my 4,000 sq foot home. So far it’s been terrible. I’m constantly suffering from dropped WiFi signal. If I reset the access point/router it’ll work for 10 or 15 min before dropping again. What’s frustrating is that it will show full WiFi bars but nothing will load. The only solution I’ve found that’ll work is disconnecting the acres point and only using the main router. Based on this, my guess is it’s a mesh problem. It’s super frustrating that I spent so much money for the mesh system but it doesn’t work.

The setup process is horrendous. Not user friendly. One or both points go offline all the time and the only way to get them back online is to do a factory reset. There have been times when I’ll have to do a factory reset every day for a week. Then it’s fine. Until it’s not. I’ll be honest, I hate it. If I was a little more tech savvy, I would beat the nest and its points with a bat and find another way to set up my network.

My house is over 2500 square feet and between my kids and my wife we have many devices connected to our WiFi. My house hasn’t got the best coverage with our router provided by our internet service provider. I read up on these and was really hoping it could handle my multi-level home and it has with ease! My entire house and even patio gets fast streaming internet connection without any dead spots. Setup was very easy. The app walks you through the steps and my wife who isn’t very tech savvy said she could have set it up with no problems. Overall a very user friendly google products that performs.
