The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

Very easy to install. Really like its ease to connect new devices.Only issue is that coverage needs to be improved. And also it would be better if over the air software update can be provided as well.

I bought the router with 2 access points package. I set up the router in my Living Room, one access point in my bedroom, and another 100 feet away in my Pole Barn. Setup was easy, quick, and guided in the Home app, and everything works as it should. As a bonus, it prioritizes bandwidth for Zoom and other video conferencing apps, so my work-at-home experience has been much better. Love it!

It’s great the vast majority of the time. But whenever there’s an issue and the modem needs to be power cycled, I end up having to factory reset my nest wifi and mesh point. It’s a long frustrating process and seems wildly unnecessary.

Really great product to replace the spectrum router. The Google Nest wifi is perfect for the townhome. (1,500 SF). Don’t think I’ll be needing the other nest points. I get a great signal upstairs from the nest which is downstairs in the living room.

Real hassle trying to get Nest router installed. Took 1.5 hours with Google tech support. Then cameras disappeared then reappeared. Never was able to get Nest Mini to connect. Super buggy.

While it doesn’t allow any type of programming or third-party firmware, this is possibly the best router I’ve had. The wireless access point also works much better than an ethernet-connected one I’ve used in the past. My recently replaced cable modem was somewhat unstable, and even with programming my old router to try to stem the issues, I’d still have to manually reboot both devices multiple times a week. The Google Nest router seemed to resolve these issues on its own, and I may have had a dropped connection for 3-4 minutes without having to go down to my basement and manually power cycle the devices. After replacing my modem I have had zero issues and have had the most stable connection I’ve experienced in 20 years.

Fantastic product. I wish I would have found out about these earlier. I ended up buying a few WiFi points for my house. Now I want to replace them with these so I can have the speaker feature in each room.
