The Google Nest Wifi Router supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and is more powerful than its predecessor, Google Wifi, delivering up to two times the speed and up to 25 percent better coverage. The Nest Wifi point allows for whole-home coverage and the system is scalable, allowing you to add more points in the future. The Nest Wifi system can handle multiple 4K video streams at the same time. The Nest Wifi system also supports proactive band steering, a self-healing network, and transmit beamforming. The router features the Snow color.
The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet and supports 4×4 MU-MIMO. The router also has dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 jacks.
Google built the Nest Wifi system to provide the foundation for your future smart-home devices. It has local home connectivity, allowing some devices to connect directly to the system without a hub. Use the Google Home app for a simple setup and controls.

The nest WiFi is good but I would not recommend it as it’s missing some features. It’s unable to work in bridge mode and devices connected to my switch can’t see the WiFi connected devices unless the router is in front of the switch which makes no sense as the switch is also the firewall.I should have gone with another product as this is way overpriced to not have some features.

Google used to be 5 stars and then they removed the wifi button now it 4 stars and descending in value. There are many uses for the wifi button beyond the guest network. I have used it to help adjust the placement of the mesh routers for optimum performance. To grant printer access to special guests etc….. I recently recommended your system to my son in law which I now regret. Sadly I will have to start searching for a better system for the next upgrade.

I was very concerned when I needed to change from google fiber provided TV boxes / wiFi to the Nest mesh technology (google fiber decided to stop providing TV service so when they remove the TV service they made every TV box no longer functional as a WiFi extender). We have a 6,000 SF house on 3 levels so extensive coverage was required. 2 routers and 2 points later and our internet is better, faster and it was very easy to setup. I was worried about this change over as I am not a computer nerd but it was very easy!

Live in small 1440 sq ft apartment with the router opposite from out bedroom. Nest with 2 meshers completely resolved our connection issues, granted the setup is rated for 3-4x larger spaces, but we have a perfect connection throughout our whole place. Very easy to connect. Highly recommend

The Nest router with two extenders proved to be a bit more difficult to set up than expected. I was never able to confirm that the nest cameras that kept dropping connection connected to the extenders. I bought this router to extend my wifi range so I wouldn’t keep losing communication with my cameras that are furthest from the router. I have the extenders halfway between the router and the cameras and still keep losing the cameras.

I bought these to help my Wifi signal in my house because the traditional wifi boosters didn’t help. So I wanted to try a mesh system. These work great and now I have signal all over my house. I have signal all the way to the end of my driveway and back yard. I have fios 500/500 and they can handle the speed. I have the AC 2200 system and I have over 30 things connected to the network and no problems. I like that with the Google Home app you have so much control of the system.

Internet cuts in and out. For a premium product this isn’t acceptable. There appears to be tons of people with the same problem for over a year but they haven’t released a patch to fix the problem.

Ive been changing routers from netgear and I finally found this google wifi. The best. My internet plan is 1gig speed and my netgear always gives me 100mbps, once i switched to the nest, the speed is 750mbps which is close to my current plan. Id recommended this device

I have Google fiber and I purchased the Google Nest mesh because it’s suppose to push over 1000mb/s wirelessly and I wanted to take full advantage of my gig connection. On the router I get about 250-400 down/up. The AP’s I get about 120 mb/s so it’s no where near it’s suppose to be. I should have taken them back but here we are a year later with meh Wi-Fi.

Like they say; No news, is good news!
