Was able to pair it with the existing router for my Google fiber using the Google Home app fairly quickly. Had it up and running to extend my Wi-Fi connection in the house in about 5 minutes. I now have solid Wi-Fi coverage into the yard.Might be a little more expensive than other Wi-Fi extenders, but the ease of setup is totally worth it.

This is a great mesh system, easy to set up, wide coverage, easy to track with the app, and easy to add other components etc. It’s a piece of cake.

I purchased it because it has nice parental control. You can manage the WiFi to different devices, set up sleep time, study time, etc. But, the WiFi connection is bad. It keeps dropping all the time. Especially with iPads and while using Facetime.I’m returning it to Google and keep using the router which I received from Spectrum.

Put two in. Immediately cut off my Alexa and another smart speaker and I can’t connect to my printer. Wish I had stayed with my old router.
Sherwood Hill (verified owner) –
Google Wifi is easy to setup. Just wish they also have a way, to access the setup, via web browser.
Georgette Wehner (verified owner) –
My Xfinity WiFi had much faster download speeds. The WiFi has not been better…

Very easy to setup. Saw improvement instantly. Highly recommend.

You will never complain about wifi ever again. Seem less transitioning between wifi points and works flawlessly.

The system was recommended to me by a technology friend of mine as I told him I wanted something easy to set up.

We replaced our older router with the google wifi router and it works great. We are getting considerably faster internet speed than before. We only have one google WiFi but plan to add more to create the mesh wireless system to see if signal can be strengthened on the ends of the house. Currently the google wifi router is in the middle of house in the office and it has a great reach to all areas of your 1,800 sq ft home. The entire setup was very easy less than 10 minutes. Plug the google wifi into your modem, plug google wifi into electrical outlet and then use google home app to complete setup process.

This has dramatically improved my internet connection throughout my house. I have a small house, square footage wise, but tons of walls/barriers. I am by no means a tech expert-at all! This was an absolute breeze to set up. Very happy with this product.

Excellent. Customer support when I wanted help was immediate and superior. The fellow I talked to walked me through everything and I really like the system.

This has so many features ! I put this in the bathroom so I could listen to music when I shower . It has excellent sound and speakers . The Wi-Fi extends out into my living room area . It is small enough to his place on a shelf . I like that it doesn’t take up too much room .

I had Google back in 2016. Had it for a few months and was not impressed with outages. Eventually, I just recently just Google once again due to 1g and 2g and most importantly the monthly price. This is the best deal and the service is outstanding now!!

I’ve been having so many problems with my at-home router provided by my internet company. So much so that when I started working from home more often, my wireless connection to my laptop would constantly drop. Enter the Google Wifi system. This fantastic product really pushes a broader signal across my home (3-story Townhome). Not only that but the mesh network that is standard gives me access to add an additional device if necessary give me a bigger range of connectivity all throughout. If you’re constantly having problems with your current router, I 100% recommend the switch.

Supposed to help extend the wifi range, and maintain consistent speed for any devices connected. I live in a 800 sqft apartment and needed a wifi extension to the bedroom where my work desk is, and I still get much better coverage if I just connect to the main wifi. While my MacBook Pro is connected to the main wifi, the speed test comes back at 100mbps and if I switch to the Google wifi the speed drops dramatically to 15mbps and even 1mpbs at times.

Not easy to reset once you change internet providers
Micaela Langworth (verified owner) –
With the change over to Google Home it’s not straight forward. I have mine working now but it should just work no configs
Oliver Heaney (verified owner) –
This is our 5th Google Wifi, we like them. Had to work with support to get a mesh Google WiFi connected back in but that worked well.
Marcella Jacobi (verified owner) –
It’s easy to setup, however it is missing some features, like1. Backup configuration data2. Information about devices connected mesh pointsAnd I always experience the slowness on it’s WiFi after couple days running, I have to restart the main point and then the Speedtest (via speedtest.net) result goes back to normal
