I had three points and poor service in one end of the house. I recently added a fourth point there. It still shows “weak connection” and we still have bad service. The house is two story; 4000 sf. So four points should be sufficient. Frustrating.

As someone who works in tech all day (and at home since COVID), I don’t want to spend time configuring and troubleshooting a wireless network. I want it to work and not give me any issues. Google Wifi has been the easiest to manage network I’ve ever installed.

Works ok, only has one ethernet input and one ethernet output so need a splitter to hardwire existing outlets. Two are not enough for a multilevel 2600 ft house.

I am super pleased with my super fast Google Wi-Fi set up. I have been limping along with a competitor for several years. Then came Google! It is so much more reliable than the past products that I have used. Thanks again Google!

Been using this for a few years and it is just not reliable, has not produced the same download speeds it did the first year, and continues to just be slow. Was great for when I needed to pause certain devices for the kids.

Almost impossible to figure out what is going on. While easy to set up and deploy, once that is done its almost impossible to figure out why the system isn’t working properly. There need to be diagnostic tools to analyze why the system is not working properly.

Setup was straightforward and performance great. Right up until the time one of the nodes failed. I generally expect such devices to last longer than 3 years, thus the 3 stars.

I love it cause I always have full bars of the Wifi signal strength every where of the house

Easy to install and set up. Will work on a Nest Wifi network and can be used to add wired devices to your network like a desktop or a nas.
Rosa Schaefer (verified owner) –
It works very will except we do have problems with Hulu. But that may not be an internet problem.
Sheila Mertz (verified owner) –
It’s not as stable as I hoped. Definitely better than my old Google router, but the new setup will drop from time to time, which is annoying. When it’s up it’s fast. I have tried moving them around the house, but no change.

Way better than Spectrum. Fifteen feet makes a big difference in wireless results. Within 10 feet of router I’m at around 230mbs. When I go into the next room, about 25 feet from router and 1 wall, I’m consistently under 170. My Mac will supposedly do 800, wired, so I was hoping for a consistent 400. Still, makes Spectrum look like a Model-A.

My Google wifi had been working great for several years. A month ago, it started to die. Dropping connection to internet and weak mesh connections. No fix from Google as of yet. I upgraded to Nest wifi hoping it would fix the issue and it has actually been worse. When it did work, it was awesome!

Great service. Works well in my two story home. I highly recommend it.

Google Wifi is a top notch mesh network. Easy setup within just a few minutes. Love it.

Download speed had long been a big concern in my making a living….trading e-mini contracts. Thanks, Google. You really make the stock market alive now.

I have setup a number of routers over the years and some have definitely been more user friendly than others and this one from Google was no exception. It combines easy set up and features top of the line security protocols to combine the best of both worlds. I have the single unit which provides fairly good coverage across my entire home but its best feature is the ability to add additional units for greater coverage across even the largest of homes. One unit works well for me now but I am moving to a larger home this spring and it will be simple for me to purchase additional units in order to have coverage across my new larger home.

I received as a try it sample and i love it works great throughout house on any floor. Easy to setup and connect to, love the fact i can control it through my phone. Also love the price and the amount you can purchase to cover your home square footage. Definitely recommend

We upgraded from 500 to the 1 gig plan. There are two people and at no time more than two streaming devices. We continually have buffering issues. Signal quality with two pucks in our 1200 sq. ft. house is great on any device, yet speed tests are in the 50-100 Mbps range consistently.

Got three of these devices! Software does not work with these older modules, Google is aware of this issue and does nothing to provide fix/patch they just want you to keep buying upgraded devices. Then they have the nerve to ask me to rate these devices!!!!! Here you go!
