I have a sewing and embroidery machine that uses an app and between them both they have to be on the same internet I tired for months to get it to work. I got this google Wi-Fi and have never been happier it makes them both work perfectly! Thank you google!

It’s awesome I have used all services providers but Google fiber is best

The google home app has less wifi information than the wifi app. For example you can not see what device ps are connected to which points.

I really liked the original google WiFi interface. But now google is forcing everyone to convert to the google home platform. I do not like this platform. Much more difficult interface and less features. Quit trying to run my entire life in your home platform. The WiFi interface and especially the nest thermostat interface are a downgrade from previous platforms that were separate.

I love the Nest WIFI product. Wifi support was great too, but they handed me off to NEST support to fix an issue. Most of your support teams are good, helpful and friendly. Chromecast group is GREAT! I have had to call NEST support twice in the last year and both encounters were not up to your usual standards. And they are not friendly to boot. This would have been a five star review except for that.

We used the Google Wifi booster in our basement. Since the router is upstairs, people who are downstairs often have slow response time for smartphones and video gaming. This solved our problem, now everyone is happy!

Great speed and coverage at an affordable price when buying 3 at a time.

It works great for whole home coverage. It provides strong reliable Wi-Fi throughout the house.

used a lot of tech, had issues with wifi in current home due to old construction but 3 of these lil google points and wifi everywhere even in the front and back yards

It started out great and I felt I finally solved my dead spots in the house and then it degraded. I would repeatedly have to reboot system to gain signsl strength. It would last a few days and back to square one. Not what I had expected from Google.

There are always speed problem. When I did speed test it shows high speed but didn’t like quality. Cox with low speed were more stable.

I have a high expectation for Google products. This Google Wifi clearly doesn’t live up to that. The dedicated Google wifi app is to be deprecated (WHY??), which is better than the Google Home app. The later puts the different functionalities/settings in different places, making it hard to find. Plus, the settings that I can change is extremely limited and the features of the router are also extremely basic. Some of the missing features (compared to my Asus/TMO AC1900 that I used 8 years): DDNS, VPN server, VPN client, DMZ, and maybe a few others. But I do like the fact that it can do speed test on the router.Speed is OKish. ~500Mbps max on 5GhzI got this for free from my ISP. If I have to pay for a new router, I wouldn’t buy this. This is good for people that know little about tech and “just want it to work”. BTW, it has IPv6 default to be off. I am not sure if it would automatically turn on if my ISP starts to support IPv6. Otherwise it be a negative thing for IPv6 adoption.

One of the best and cost effective solution for extending my Wi_Fi range at home.

I definitely enjoyed this router for it’s simplicity and reliability. I was a little skeptical about how simple it was because I thought it would lack functionality but this router gives everything you need for routing and device management for internet. My favorite feature has been prioritizing devices on the network so no matter how many devices are streaming in the home or office, your prioritized device keeps a consistent connection for video calling or game streaming. I love Google Wi-Fi!

Easy to setup, a little lacking in coverage for my large home. Also not easy to extend. Still 4 stars

The google wifi points solved my wifi problems, I have excellent coverage inside and outside my house !

Bought the Google Wifi three unit package about four years ago as my house is relative big, 3450 sqft with two floors. Tried several routers but were not able to cover all the areas. Thought about building my own mesh network then learned about Google Wifi. Here are what I like:1. It is really easy to setup. Scan the bar code and then follow the instructions. You can choose to use only one unit or multiple unit to take advantage of the built in mesh feature.2. Overall Google Wifi is reliable. During the past four years, I only had one problem with them when my modem showing that I had good internet but I cannot connect to internet. The problem was solved after a hard reset of all three of them. I was thinking about I may need to replace them with some other routers but they are really reliable and good for me to replace them.3. They are well built with robust exterior and interior components. I did dropped one of them two times, and there was no damage at all.

I have 4 points in 2k square foot and all of the points report week connection, same floor in the next room from main router point, no walls, clear line of sight. Garbage.

I’ve had Google Fiber 1 Gig (with Google Fiber Legacy TV) since it became available in my area of Austin. I was actually delighted when Google offered to “upgrade” me by dropping Google Fiber Legacy TV, because I had wanted to “cut the cable” for a couple of years, but I made fun about calling that an upgrade. However, it was an upgrade! My 1 Gig Google Fiber works even better with Google’s updated WiFi equipment. For example, Apple Music, which previously would annoyingly hang up occasionally between streamed music tracks, now plays without interruption. I was happy with Google Fiber before, and I’ve only had my upgrade for a couple of weeks, but I am even more delighted now.

My installation of Google WiFi is extremely fast at 740 mbps download and 38 mbps upload. I had some initial issues switching from the Google WiFi app to the Google Home app, but now it’s wicked fast and I have to thank the Google support staff for their help with my issue.
