Easy to install and use. Google Home app allows remote monitoring and testing, which is nice.

We wanted to have a wifi mesh in our house, so that we are blanketed with the network wherever we go inside our home, as well as outside. Since Im an avid google product user/supporter, I went for Google Wifi over Nest wifi. I bought the 1 router and 2 point pack, which was enough for my 2000sqft home. Easy set-up with google home app, easy to create guest wifi and sharing credentials. You can already set-up family wifi as well with device restrictions and usage time. The wifi points are easy to set-up with just plugin to the power outlets. Havent had any issues with the network/packet drop while using it. Seamless transition. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

Overall, pretty good, but the UI for managing the systems is pretty clunky and lacks an intuitive flow
Mathew Nitzsche (verified owner) –
We had hoped adding another access point would give us more reliable Internet but it constantly cuts out.
Kaden Bartoletti (verified owner) –
Mesh network allowed to have more coverage in the house but speed was cut in half. Had to go back to the old router.

Might be the easiest way to have a home Mesh Network, and manage your WiFi networks. Granted, Google Wifi is now quite old, but still packs a punch. Bonus, it’s compatible with Nest Wifi products!

I was excited to think I would get full coverage with a 3 pack mesh wifi system but it has poor wall penetration to the point where I have lost connection from the mesh network just one wall away which is nothing but drywall between the wifi system. I don’t know if my next system will be a Google/nest system. I wouldn’t mind trying the second generation or a third one if it comes out this year but I am displeased with my 3 pack Google wifi. I am a big fan of Google products with getting most of the products released so it’s disappointing the quality isn’t as good as it could be

Takes a little long to get the wifi set up – it rejects it many times and then after trying for a half hour it finally accepts it
Daija Dach (verified owner) –
Love my goggle wifi. Fast reliable service with no issues and very easy to use and set up.

Lack diagnostic tools makes it difficult to find the cause of network failures, especially failures caused by connected devices. I do not recommend

the app is ok, even after it moved into Google home app. occasionally it’ll freeze up and need a factory reset but it’s rare. the coverage is ok but wifi6 is now becoming really available.

I used to recommend the Google Wifi devices… until I switched to Google Fiber as my ISP. Somehow the equipment performs far worse than it used to with Comcast. The Google wifi support team has been incredibly unhelpful and unresponsive. I cannot seem to get a straight answer on my problems and my only course of action is to abandon Google as my hardware solution as well as my internet service provider. After years of anticipation around Google Fiber I am so disappointed to be writing this review.

Our google nest works better than it was before it, but I am still waiting for the 2g and am on a waiting list. They took my TV away and the google chrome is not as good. This could be overlooked if they hooked up the 2 g that I am waiting for.

I bought the Google WiFi to boost WiFi in my home. While it appears to have worked for my 75 inch flat screen TV in the basement it can’t connect on the top floor bedroom farthest away from the router. It also appears to be interfering with my wireless printing capability, filtering and preventing me from printing from my cell or laptop. I trouble shot for a couple of hours and gave up.

I’ve had this product over 4 years and own 6 of them for two homes. They work flawlessly and are reliable.

It’s working great and amazing customer service is helpful.

Covers my entire 3000 sq ft tri-level home easily! And it was very easy to install. I highly recommend it.
Bettye West (verified owner) –
I changed my internet connection and had to completely reset all the wifi points, honestly defeated the entire purpose of having this points. Also not seamless as expected and I am not completely satisfied with this product and feel like worth the price.

I really had hoped that the Google mesh net work woodwork with current routers. That was the first disappointment. After hooking everything up, I ended up needing 2 nodes in the basement as the one by my modem did not carry far. I then put 1 on each floor hoping it would cover 1100 sq ft per node plus my garage. It’s shaky at true extremes. Looks like I will need to add a 5th for my garage. 5 nodes for approx 3600 sq ft. It still is pretty dependable when close though.

Before I have a problem with my Internet now the problem disappear.
