I have a 3100 square foot “L” shaped home. There’s a garage in the mid-point, and a casita on the smaller side of the “L”. We have the router as central as we could get it, and we’ve had huge problems keeping stable connection within the home. I purchased an addtional node, hoping that’d be enough, and moved the “Triangle” shape closer together with the extra new node slightly out from the shape. We are still having connectivity issues. I purchased “high-end” CAT-8 wires and ran the router closer to the centre of the “triangle” and after about two hours of running mesh tests, got the nodes close enough to maintain a decent signal, but not in the furthest points of the home. I do not reccomend a three pack for a single level 5500 square foot home. You’re gonna need a bigger box of wifi spots. When they do work, within their limited range, they do fairly well. Not as impressed as I was hoping I’d be, however. My network is FibreOptic and I have 1GB Service.

Exactly what I needed with having to work, ect. from home this really came in handy as some spots in our house don’t get great internet connection this has givin us great connection in all places in our home it reaches the perfect amount of up to 1,500ft and was super easy to set up and start using definitely a must during this time.

Normally I have no issues with the wifi but ever since the last update moving over to home my wifi has been going in and out. I hope that they can fix this

the wifi picks are a great idea. however, support is so generic. the answer to every issue is ‘factory reset’. this takes at least 10-15 mins. worked great for about 18 months. now, wired pucks are randomly going offline. how? these are wired….support tells you to factory reset. wifi app now folded into home app and is now slower.

This works exactly as I’d hoped. Easy to install and haven’t had a problem since we hooked it up.

Installed google WiFi about three week ago and so far it’s been fantastic! Great coverage and bandwidth and no downtime or weak signals. Highly recommend. Wish we did it sooner.
Kaylin Emard (verified owner) –
I like but seems to slow speed down from 113 Mbs going into the router from modem down to 75 coming out for some reason….features are nice.

Google has never been great for me. I changed recently to the upgrade and was hoping that would help and it does some. Today, I can’t even get through a video and can barely get my google mail to open. Just a lot of hype about google.

The wifi section inside the Google home app is very slow and very frustrating. Keeps giving error “Sorry something went wrong, please try again”. Doesnt even tell what went wrong. The earlier stand along google wifi app was way better than this one.

We have been looking for a way to improve our wifi situation now that we have 3 kids doing virtual learning, plus my husband is working from home. We are just over the recommended square footage for using a single unit so I thought I’d give it a go. The improvement over our old router has been remarkable. Our kitchen table is still a bit spotty as far as coverage goes, but like I said, we were a bit over the recommended square footage for a single unit. Strongly considering buying one more which I’m confident will fix the issue.

This router has been such a headache. I love my mini nests and wanted to stick with Google products so they could work together but ohh boy! For starters, the router will stop working randomly once or twice every three months and it requires a factory reset which causes me to have to reconnect ALL of my products again. Secondly, during the very few times the power has gone out because of weather or otherwise, it doesn’t come back on as normal, it has to be factory reset. It’s a good thing I’m a pro at it now, however, I would not recommend.

I had hard wired each access point and created a mesh network in my home in hopes to have high speed internet everywhere in my house. However, even having each access point hardwired the network speeds perform slower than just using my rented xfinity WAP/Router combo.

I recently replaced Google fiber WiFi with Google WiFi due to an free upgrade. Now dead zones in our is eliminated.

I have had the 3 puck wifi set for 3 years. Recently one of the pucks died and I had to replace it. Many of my devices are having problems connecting with the wifi. There are no connection problems with my Arris, however.

I love the mesh technology. It’s easy to transition throughout my house with little to no connectivity loss traversing from AP to AP.
