Internet is running much slower than expected. It said it would cover a home that is 1500 sq feet, my home is 1256 sq feet and connection is slow.

I have a large, three-level home. I bought 4 Google WiFi access points. Using the Google Home App, I was able to quickly set up a strong signal in every room. I even set up a second Guest network so that people who rent out my guest room via Air BnB do not have access to any of our other home devices. It took no knowledge of networking, Google did all the technical stuff for me and it works perfectly.

Love it. It came as a recommendation from my family

I’ve had my Google WiFi units for a few years now, through a couple of moves, and they remain reliable, with good coverage throughout the house.

This product has made my wifi signal strong in every room of my house. I used to not have good signal in rooms of my house but after installing this I get a strong signal in every room. I have noticed that my wifi doesn’t buffer as much anymore than it did with my old router. I am so happy for this! I can watch TV and be on the web with no buffering. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for wifi that reaches in places in their home. I love this product and it has helped my internet!

Everytime we lose power or the pods get unplugged the pods don’t reconnect when the power is restored. I have to restore the whole system each time. Pain

On May 1, 2021, Google switched their App from the Google Wi-Fi to the Google Home App and even though I followed the recommendation to switch over to the new app prior to May 1st and everything was running just fine; On April 30th at midnight my Google Wifi Nest stop working and had to be totally re-initialized and every device that was using the Google Wifi Nest re-attached to the nest. Since that time, I have had to re-attach several devices that seem to, for no apparent reason, lose the wifi network. After about the third time that I re-attached those devices(3 of 21) they have seemed to stabilize and as of now no longer require me to re-attach them. Luckily I am technically capable and could work through these issues, but an end user should not have had to do what I did to make the transition from Google Wi-Fi to the Google Home App!!

I was getting 10-12 mps in my garage now I’m getting 120 . Love it

We’ve been using the Google 3 pack wi-fi for a few years and it’s solved our connectivity issues in our spread-out multi level town home. During a fierce storm recently lightning took out our Spectrum router and the Google wi-fi that was plugged into it. We replaced the cooked one and was back up and running shortly. It works seamlessly where extenders fail. Highly recommend.

It works fantastic. Couldn’t be happier. Wish I’d had switched over sooner.

Only bridge mode with mesh. Poor filtering and scheduling features

I had a hard time setting up. Instructions were complicated.

I loved it when I had a traditional cable modem. I would connect my google wifi to my modem and boom I had a great wifi signal all through the house even out to my garage which is more than 100′ feet away from the closest wifi point. Unfortunately, I upgraded to a fiber connection from Optimum and their modem comes with a built-in router that I cannot disable. Optimum doesn’t even allow me to see my internet settings or make any changes. Both devices were constantly interfering with each other until finally, I had no choice but to put my google hardware away. This is no fault of Google, I blame Optimum for this one but I took one star off the review because I am stuck with a great piece of hardware I can no longer use.

After about 2.5 years my Google WiFi has become unreliable. My 2.4 GHz devices no longer connect to the wifi network. (smart plugs, Ring doorbell, Rachio Sprinkler Control, Nest Thermostat, myQ) The 5 GHz band is also flaky, devices constantly drop off the wifi and have to reconnect.

Very pleased with this product. Installed two units in my home and has worked flawless. Never had a product work so well. Very good coverage.

Hands down the best and easiest WiFi solution I have used. My WiFi speeds have increased significantly and being able to spread the WiFi nodes around the house makes coverage very consistent and reliable. It’s excellent.

The Google Wi-Fi system is great. It’s easy to setup and the quality is great. As long as you don’t mind associating your Google account with your browsing history, but if you are using Chrome you are already doing that anyway. I have 4 of these in my house, adding a new once recently to the 3 I’ve had for years. Again adding a new one is super easy and does not require any advanced knowledge. The app is pretty good as well, occupying a dedicated secrtion in the Google Home app. you can do a speed test from the app as well as test the mesh configuration to make sure there aren’t any dead zones. The device itself does have 2 ethernet ports, one for an inbound connection from the router and the other for an outbound connection to a device. For the remote units you actually can use both ports for outbound. The reason I took one star off is because of one oddity in the settings. While it does allow you to assign a priority device, you can only do so for up to 4 hours. Why not permanently?
