Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi device also includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

No WiFi 6 or the ability to know what band You are using. It is really confusing Google WiFi and Nest WiFi. It is a bad thing that nest seems to be going away and it is better than the Google branded stuff.

Google wifi has replaced Apple Airport in my home, and it is amazing! I have speeds I’ve never seen before, and no more wifi dead zones. My Smart tc, which connects wirelessly and which has rarely gotten more than 50% (“marginal”) connectivity, finally has 100% connectivity! I’m extremely pleased with this service, my boys can play their games in the their rooms on their tv’s now.

I was sent this item for free in exchange for a review. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and struggle with my wifi. I have been looking for a boost for it for awhile now and finally have found one. This Google Wifi has helped tremendously, I went from some days not having internet at all to having internet plus it being faster. I would definitely recommend this product. It isn’t expensive, it is also very easy to set up!

The best router I’ve ever had and this one is the older version. The newer one is likely even better. We have an ~1800 sq ft house with small backyard and two meshed together were more than enough to cover the space. Speeds are always fast and the design blends into the background. The only complaint is that there is not yet any option for a router with WiFi 6. Other than that, definitely go for this one, well worth the money.

Strong signal throughout our home, even into the corners of the most remote rooms. It works great! Easy to set up as well. No unsightly geeky antennae.

Google integration is amazing – the Google home app makes modifying network ID/PW a breeze. Extremely easy to monitor traffic by devices too.However…..*NO* capability whatsoever to set devices to certain bands is a show stopper. My 2.4Ghz band pulls 10x slower speeds than my 5Ghz band all times of day for the past 2months. To videoconference working from home I had to disconnect my beloved mesh and setup my old split band router/repeater to place my phone and work PC on the 5Ghz band. Not sure what new interference appeared for my 2.4Ghz, but Google wifi’s determination of the “best” channels/frequencies was garbage. Without the simple option to set dedicated bands/channels….this is a 2-star performance. My Google mesh signals were much stronger than my single repeater…but the bottleneck performance on 2.4Ghz was intolerable for simple low-quality video streams and calls.

It started off great but some of the recent updates seem to have cause my network to slow down. I’m even starting to see buffering on a few devices. There may of even been a loss of range one of my security cameras stopped connecting.
