The router works well as the main router as well as a Mesh router. The coverage is pretty good for an apartment. With the Google Home app, we can monitor the router well. The installation is easy, just connect the cables and let it run.

If it hadn’t been so difficult to add one additional node to my household Google Wifi mesh system, which meant I had to uninstall and reinstall the entire system before adding a fourth node, I would have given 5 stars. And, why doesn’t the Cloud Service for the Google Wifi mesh system work? The mesh wifi works well throughout my elongated property reaching down to the basement, out to the shed and front/back yard. Not very stable Internet. Having lots of problems with Internet stability and coverage. The system keeps timing out and Wi-Fi points will frequently drop off. Very frustrated tried calling tech-support and paid for support but the problem still keeps occurring.

Google Wifi is a better deal than most others out there, including Nest. I had a 6 pack of Nest Wifi (2 Routers, 4 AP) I returned them as Google Wifi out performs Nest in stability. Remember; neither is WiFi 6, But Google Wifi is more stable

Received my Google Wifi a little while back and I have it a few days to really use it to write a honest review so here it is. It’s honestly a little faster than my main internet provider. Maybe if I had more than one or would be a little more faster. Was a really easy set up though and it’s pretty simple. Would honestly recommend to other people and family members.

Honestly, my initial reason for buying this was to extend my WiFi in a mesh throughout my home. It works exactly as expected, 100% satisfied! In addition, upon downloading and using the app, I’ve come to realize just how much of my home can be either already controlled using Google Home, or added to it with some minor hardware upgrades. Shoot, I just bought WiFi light switches to now control my whole house fan, and I’ll be adding ones with “dimmer feature” (or something like that) to hook up new ceiling fans I have planned to hand in the family room and my master bedroom.It’s truly been a wonderful addition to my home.

In the first 3 weeks I owned these I was only able to get them fully working for one week after chatting with support for over an hour.The devices never worked in ‘backhaul’ mode consistently, and would not provide internet to devices located behind a switch that was hardwired to one of the pucks.I spent another 2 hours with support trying to get them to work and was unable to do so. I switched to another product that provides similar capabilities, and within 15 minutes had it set up and working with no issues, and the realized speed at all points was at least 3-5x faster than when using the Google Wifi product.I normally really like Google products and loved the concept of these, but the execution was lacking. I’m in the process of trying to return them now.

We already have a set of 3 Google wifi that we use throughout the house which has greatly improved our wifi connection and speed. This was a super easy addition. The app is so simple and easy to use, plus I love the added features of wifi management that it offers.

I am very pleased with Google wifi. It sets up relatively quickly compared to traditional routers. You do have to have the Google Home app to complete the set up. It took me maybe 20 minutes from unboxing to completion. You connect Google wifi to your ISP modem and open the Google Home app. Using Google wifi has helped with buffering issues we were having when streaming Netflix. This device covers 1500 sq feet but you can add wifi access points to areas with poor signals if needed. Overall we are pleased and have had no issues.

The internet itself is great but there are no options to have a dedicated 2.4ghz option. I have some older alexa enabled items which cannot use the 5ghz option. So those items are useless until I switch to something else.
