Since installing Google WiFi throughout the house there has been no areas without WiFi. They were easy to install and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to ensure WiFi is enabled throughout a location.

I bought the google wifi with an extra 2 points, so the 3 pack. Thinking that it would boost the existing spectrum wifi that I have. And honestly I don’t think it’s made any difference. I’m still getting really slow internet in my bedroom (for tv streaming) and also in my sons room. If you guys are reading this, I know it probably won’t persuade you from not buying but hopefully you’ll think twice or have better luck with it then I did.

Seamless setup and operation with my router. Easy to adjust control too.

My home is filled with gamers and cell phones so WiFi is a must! This is a pretty cool Google gadget to hook up and ensure there is enough WiFi to go around to every nook and cranny of our home! Easy to hook up and easy to connect to other Google products we highly suggest this if you are looking for a new or better WiFi hookup!

I have a mesh router in every building on the property. Never lose signal.

There is no comparison between a single wifi spot and a mesh network. You can get more coverage and no deadspots using a mesh system.

This was easy to install. Just plug it into your modem. Then the whole house (up to 1500 square feet) will have WiFi coverage! It comes with an ethernet cable and power adaptor as well. I think it’s a good choice.

I have had Google WiFi since it was first rolled out years ago. Since installing I have nothing but good reviews. I have a large about of devices requiring wireless and I also stream my TV’s and have had no major issues. Highly recommend!
Harmony Lang (verified owner) –
The mesh system works flawlessly. The speed is really good without too much dropoff from wired speed. And it looks nice. What else do you want?

I usually don’t write reviews, but I must say the Google WiFi is really nice. I got the 3 pack and it covers the entire 1600sqft 3 story home we live in. There are no dead spots and it is much faster than my old access point. They all come with Ethernet port if you need wired access and they are really easy to setup. You can give as much information about yourself as you want and you can opt out of anything your not comfortable with.

It didn’t help my wifi at all. I don’t know what else you want me to tell you to get to 50 letters.

Lucky for me I had other WiFi hotspots to add or I would have returned these

When it works it’s great. But throughout the day the signal drops out which is most noticeable on video calls. We started off with the 3 pack and Google wifi recommended adding more units for better mesh coverage. I added another 2 extenders and it didn’t get much better. I added 2 more and it has not shown noticeable improvement even though there are now routers I’m almost every room. The ability to turn off wifi for kids is pretty good for parental controls.

The Google WiFi is a decent mesh network wireless device. In my large home I found I had to purchase quite a few to reach everywhere. I wish the range of a single point was larger but once I had enough of the discs I was able to cover my home 100%. I like the product and would recommend it for friends. Simple set up and I like the software to maintain it.

Worthless app. Screwed up all my wifi connected devices until I figured out how to get around.
Samir Dare (verified owner) –
I love it…..the second floor of my home has great internet access and I have blinding speed.

I recently switched my wifi routers to the Google WiFi system and I have to say I am not surprised by how well integrated the mesh has felt. The setup was extremely useful and made connecting all my other switches, lights and cameras connect instantaneously. I was using PoE Ubiquity routers which worked well but failed to reconnect all my smart devices if a power outtage happened. After my 3rd outtage I had it… bought the Google WiFi mesh 2016 model for ethernet. Once I set the system up through the Google Home app with the same WiFi name and password, everything connected like nothing happened. I knew I had made the right decision going with Google. I highly recommend this product as they are top quality and the software integration is seamless.

The system was pretty awesome a few years ago, but now it’s difficult to recommend. The app is laggy, missing features and moving to Google Home is not really helping. But the biggest issue now is that the network stops working (both wireless and wired) and requires a reboot of the routers. Regularly. It’s very annoying and still happens after swapping out the main router node. Probably software-related. Would not recommend now.

One of the best, easiest to setup but very powerful routers.
