Bought a new cable modem and google support was excellent at helping me reconnect the google WiFi router and 2 extra points. Had no WiFi at house so was using my cellular data but they were very patient with me. Very appreciative

Google Wifi is the easiest and most convenient router that I’ve have ever set up. I love the design, it is sleek and portable. I can fit it in my purse. My son uses it for his personal connection capabilities. He’s a gamer so he needs it to help him stay connected smoothly. Awesome product.

I was very pleased after installing the Google Wifi components. I bought the 3 pack which was perfect for our house approximately 4000 square feet. It was very easy to install and has dramatically increased the speed and stability of Wifi throughout our house. I like how I can control my Wifi and do speed tests from the Google Home App.

I quit Grande, in Austin, because it was spotty. But, I was pretty-consistently getting ~350 MBps down. Upstream was quite a bit lower. Spotty isn’t good though, for what I do for work. Google is ok. It’d definitely not 1GBps. It’s actually almost exactly the same download speeds I was getting, but so far it hasn’t been spotty, nor cut out. The upload speed is REALLY fast. It’s consistently anywhere from 300-500 MBps up, but I really don’t have much need for fast upstream bandwidth or speed. SO, bottom line is that it’s pretty good, and it’s consistent; but it wasn’t the groundbreaking change I had expected . So, it’s just “ok”

My previous download speed when I had spectrum it was four times faster. My download is 87 and upload is 110.

We have a 4 point mesh that covers the 3000 sq ft with a usable signal. The router handles the incoming 800mbs speed with no problem. Since our home was built back in the late 1950’s the walls are plaster over metal mesh. Each room in essence is a Faraday cage of sorts. Even with that the 4 points can still manage to form a mesh and get a usable wifi connection to devices in just about all rooms.

So far we have not had any downtime with Google Fiber. With cable we had periods of downtime every day. Very happy!

Does not work any better then the router I already had signal strength still not any better

I have 2 of the AC 1304 units. I have had strong wifi with these units until recently. One of them will no longer connect! Very disappointed!

It literally does not work my wifi is still moving slow and under a lot of mbps it’s going by kbps not instead of mbps like that’s lame to me i thought it worked when really it makes your wifi worst

The Google Nest WiFi unit is small and compact but does an amazing job of making sure internet reaches our entire home. My family and I were all pleasantly surprised by the strength of the signal it puts out and the fact that the signal is strong no matter where you are inside out 2800 square foot home. It even works well in our detached garage. Setup was very easy and required only a few minutes of our time. It also increase both our download and upload speeds from the speeds we had with our previous WiFi unit. We run several laptops, televisions and phones all simultaneously with no problems. I am very pleased with the Google Nest and can very much recommend it.

Works well for wifi coverage. Simple process to setup using the phone app. Must use your phone. Great for the simple home user that just wants to turn it on, set it up and forget about it. This is not for the advanced user that wants to highly integrate a router into their network. Very limited capabilities. Also, google home is switching/migrating the android app to something different. I did the migration… absolutely lost sight of the entire router. Reinstalled the goggle wifi app and proceeded to wipe the pucks clean and start over. There are much better products on the market now. Do your research… Have fun, stay connected.

I was having coverage issues at my house with my AT

I have multiple google wifi access points and have been using them for years. I am now being forced to transition to google home. The interface on google one is horrible and many of the features I loved to use on my google wifi are no longer available with the new platform. Don’t buy!

I’m sure you have a good product for simple installations. We have a big home and the WIFI points don’t seem to stretch very far. We are using 7 units, some have to use the ethernet to be effective. The dirty secret in your system is that the sequencing of the ethernet switch and the pimary WIFI point is critcal for consistent service. That was not cleat from your likterature or handy videos. It took quite some time to sort this all out and even then my Savant installer is still unhappy with our nest. Not a good fit for a complicated project.

I’ve never owned one of these before, so I can’t really compare it to another product, but I think it does the job, connection works great and I really like being able to control what’s connected to my network, for how long and even having a guest network so I don’t need to share my password with anybody.
Juanita O’Hara (verified owner) –
I wanted this system for a small business, but only after installing realized that the Ethernet backhaul is daisy chain only (not star topology) and there is no guest network. Those were deal breakers for me so I scrapped and moved to another system.

this is all very easy, set up took only few minutes and I got a very solid network all around a 3300 sqft home on two floors. I am able to move around while on video calls and never loose a solid signal.I get pretty much full bandwidth everywhere, I do not have a gigabit connection so this is more than enough for my needs, highly recommended!

I’ve had a number of wifi providers over the years, the most recent of which was a big telecom company. I have to say that everything about GoogleFiber has been better from scheduling the install all the way to the speed of service. Highly recommended.
